This is the biggest understatement on this entire site. Lampley, Merchant and George Foreman all openly routed for De La Hoya when he was fighting and overpraised everything that he did. Lampley and Merchant do the same thing to Manny Pacquaio while overly criticizing or questioning everything that Mayweather does.

Both Foreman and Lampley had to repeat he was not hit.

        4:01 - 4:31

Hernandez obviously stepped on Mayweather's foot. Once again, Merchant argues tooth and nail with Foreman and Lampley while trying to validate the knockdown against Mayweather. Merchant says because mayweather moved backwards, Mayweather caused the knockdown therefore making the Knockdown legit. WTF?

        6:11 - 6:26

Clearly shows Hernandez's left foot stepping on Mayweather's right foot, resulting in the Knockdown. What does Merchant do? Try to validate the knockdown even more.

        Unbelievable!

Have you noticed that he has not worked on Mayweather's last two fights against Marquez and Mosley (Max Kellerman called those fights). I think Mayweather's people probably got tired of his hateful attituded towards Floyd and demanded he not appear anymore. At least that is what I hope happened. I hope Kellerman calls the Mayweather/Ortiz fight also.
I never noticed that. I hope so. We'll see....

Merchant did indeed do the Mosley fight; see "artful dodger" rant.

He tried to hold back, but he gave Floyd some props. "This wasn't completely unexpected...the only surprise is he isn't moving out of the way...I didn't talk to anyone who gave Mosley a chance...I haven't seen any power punches...Mosley is making Mayweather look sloppy at times..."

He also didn't believe Floyd was hurt in round two; that he was playing possum. Not quite sure what to make of that one.
