many consider these "vacations" ducking, Floyd's just a real smart guy.

Floyd Mayweather Sr.: "He (Floyd Jr.) thanks everyone but his daddy. He thanks Leonard Ellerbe, a *******ual, I know he's a *******ual and everyone else knows it. You can print that because I said it, I can tell you nothing else but how gay he is."

I think any semi-knowledgeable fight fan who was watching boxing as long as 5 years ago knows Pac's rise to super stardom is in large part due not only to Mayweather's "retirement", but moreso his unpopularity. Let's be real, in 2008 Manny Pacquaio was a great 130 lber fighter coming off what most considered a loss to JMM. He moved up to lightweight to fight David Diaz (I just threw up in my mouth a little) and had nothing to look foward to but fights with the likes of Casamayor and Campbell, who were atop the lightweight division. His oppoertunity to fight DLH came when Mayweather pulled outta his rematch with DLH to "retire." That is where Pac's rise began. And now that he not only beat guys like DLH and Hatton better than Money led many people to believe that he could be the one to beat the guy they hate. The dislike of Mayweather has made stars (on a much smaller level) of guys like Cotto, Margarito, and an aging Mosley because they who the hope guys. Now, Pac is the new hope guy on steroids, no pun intended.

floyd vs pac has been prolonged almost 2 yrs now so fans like me arent convinced anything these guys like ellerbe or schafer etc say is true.
with this statement saying because of mayweather's lay off is kinda bull****.
            and heres why.
in all actuality floyd has been at the welterweight division for 5 years (2006 vs baldomir). Before manny even stepped up there and floyd has not fought the amount of quality fighters pac has fought in the 3 yrs at welterweight pac has period. hands down.(2008) vs oscar
81% to 18% of fans who voted on whos has a better resume picked PAC over floyd here on boxingscene.
so ****ting on mannys accomplishments is ridiculous. floyd has had ample time to accomplish more with the time he has had at WW. so thats why mannys rise is more solid then floyds not because of his layoffs period. real boxing fans know this.
floyd fought dela hoya, hatton , marquez & Mosley in 5 years at WW. impressive? or
Pac's fought dela hoya, hatton. cotto, clottey, margarito & mosley.
floyd should atleast fought cotto or margarito then again clottey.

This guy says, "Floyd's rise in popularity was because fo Manny" and uses the Mayweather-Hatton PPV numbers to back it up. Yet when Mayweather fought Hatton, Pac was fighting at 130 and oh yeah, Mayweather-Hatton outdid Pacquaio-Hatton.

Even if Manny wins this deflamation suit that doesnt mean hes going to get any money. Example OJ Simpson walks on the murder charges of his wife. Her parents come back and sue him in a civil case. They win and are awarded 10 mil. You know how much money OJ paid his in-laws? ****... And Manny knows this since he has the same lawyer as Nicole Brown Simpsons parents.

Nobody is interested about chicken Floyd Mayweather Jr. Everybody knows that he is just a mere pretender in the sport of boxing...a comedian. Today the Mayweathers are trying to affiliate their names with Manny Pacquiao to keep themselves afloat.

Stop using pacquiao's name to hype upcoming floyd's dance. Floyd's boring & that's a fact.

Statements like that make you sound ignorant about boxing. Are you a Pacquiao fan by any chance?

                      The tards are squirming

There is some truth to Ellerbe's comments, but that aint the whole story.
