Pavlik for 1.35 is bull Pavlik deserved lilke 750k he wasnt even a champ at 168. Johnson for 350k and under is just disrespect they know Johnson is still a name and he has fought for showtime 2 times in a row at least 500k that would be a good well earned paycheck.

Also someone said that Kessler is outline is for Froch to win but even if Ward wins Kessler is still the WBC Emeritus Champ so if Ward wins he would have that belt and that would make Kessler his mandatory.
at this point of the game the promoters and fighters are way bigger than the trinkets. belts only count until a certain point and we are well past that point. don't worry, i am sure mr. sulaiman, in all his wisdom, will find a "solution".

Kessler, Pavlik and now Johnson !!! Please, who will believe that Bute is not ready to fight anybody. It's obvious now that they are all scared of Bute. Pavlik got more money then he deserve, but he got scared. Johnson is NOT a WC, so a fight against a WC is a chance for him. It's not only the money for the fight, it's the money for the future fights, if of course, he is so much better and Bute so ordinary. So, money is not the reason why Johnson refused the fight, he simply knows that he would get hurt. Johnson probably believe that he can still become a WC against a lesser opponent. Good luck Glen ! Now, who will be the next to cry for more money and put the blame on the #1 Bute ?

another reason ward/bute gets made is both boxers have no other obligations, so showtime can say "look, let's sign a 2 fight deal right now. direct rematch, **** the belts. if the first fight generates top notch numbers, and if it was competitive, then automatic direct rematch for $x. If the first fight was in Montreal the next is in Oakland and vice-versa.
At the very least Bute's team will insist on the fight being in New York state. It'd be a 5-6 hour drive from Montreal for Bute fans and a long flight for Ward fans.

Ward will almost certainly object to that. I think the fight should be in Vegas, but I bet Bute's team would object to that.

Don't think they're gonna do it in Des Moines Iowa, so who knows that might happen.

As for Ward, while Bute is a fight people want to see, if he can't hammer out a deal I bet he would just move up to 175 for a championship fight against anyone willing to take the fight.

Ward would object to a fight in NYC because it's a long flight? WTF is that? It's not like Ward would have to travel the day of the fight. Why would a couple hours in a plane, a week before the fight, change anything for him? He would still have most of the crowd behind him and be in his home country.

If Bute fans can make the trip to NYC, Ward should be happy that they bring revenues to the event and help making a good atmosphere. Unless he really wants Bute to be at a disadvantage, I see no reason why NYC would be a problem to Ward.

there's a lot us casual fans don't know...

This offer is so ridiculous that that Interbox surely knows that it wont be accepted. If they where looking for Johnson only and wanted a quick clearance as to who the November opponent should be, they'd have made a more appropriate offer.

This can IMO only mean that they are negotiating someone else. It's not the Dirrell's I'm sure. Looking at Kessler's situation, I think they are deep in negotiations with Sauerland now.

Nothing has come out regarding Stieglitz since they said a deal was very close which is at least a month ago. That must mean that SES is hardballing and looking for a purseoffer that Sauerland wont give. Mind you that Stieglitz said he wouldn't fight Kessler unless he had to.

Bute suddenly loses Pavlik as an opponent as he selfdestructed before our very eyes. (I hope Pavlik takes a long break/rehab to find some peace of mind). Sauerland could see the opening as well as anybody else, as Interbox must scramble to find a credible opponent to save their valuable Showtime deal.

Of course it is all speculation on my behalf as it could be Manfredo Interbox are negotiationg (lol).

you bute fans have hit all time low of delusion. bute will NOT fight ward outside of canada. they will tell ward to come to canada or NO FIGHT like the've done to all of their opponents.......

bute will NOT fight the super six winner. when the super six is over with there will be COUNTLESS obstacles from team bute to prevent that fight from being made.

****. booty won't even fight dirrell.

you guys just run with BUFOONERY when it comes to booty.

Bute knows that Johnson is just as durable as Andrade but with way more skill. He'd get KTFO late when his jumping in from the outside like a jackass move didn't work on an opponent who can actually dodge punches.
I agree with this post, but I disagree with Johnson winning,I mean I would give him a good shot..But I would not bet on it..But I agree Johnson is a major threat to Bute..
