Everything you said is horse*t meant to cover up the fact that you will support Bute because of his Eastern European blood no matter what he does.

Fact of the matter is they didn't even offer Johnson 350K, which Johnson might have taken. Instead they offered him "significantly more than a million less" which means they offered the guy 150-200K which is a goddamn joke considering the gate that Bute will draw will be the same as if he fought Pavlik and Showtime would pitch in just as much money for either fight.

You Euro nuthuggers are just as bad as the David Haye fans.

Oh please bruv, he didnt get offered 100k or 200k. I bet he got a decent offer, nobody knows. The amount of BS stats that fly around the Boxing world is insane, 90% of the articles and numbers are made up to create drama.

The fact that they havent released a SOLID number shows that it wasnt that bad.

i've followed bute, and even though his opposition is questionable that dude is a great ****ing boxer. he's always working on new weapons and using them effectively in his fights.

I'd LOVE to see him vs. Johnson. That would be a good fight. Bute is a notorious slow starter and Johnson can ****. make it happen!!

You can't make a fight like Johnson-Bute by offering a proud man like Glen Johnson 200K in what would amount to a 90-10 split in Bute's favor.

Bute obviously doesn't want this fight. Aside from the fact that his opposition has been below par it's also almost unbelievable the way the guys he has fought, to a man, were terrible defensive fighters who have made a career out of blocking punches with their faces.

There are many things Bute does in the ring that are flashy and also careless. He has never been caught because the guys couldn't get out of the way of a punch to save their lives.

Bute has always lunged in with that low left hand, same punch he was throwing when Golovkin KTFO with a 1 hitter quitter in the amateurs.

Put him in with a real fighter, who throws a good straight right hand, and has the skills to time it up, and it's gonna be a tough night for Lucian.

Who cannot like a true fighter like Johnson. But having lost what 2 out of his last 3 fights, I don't think he is in much of a position to negotiate as much as he was when he beat Jones and Tarver. But I hope he gets a shot. Not many fighters as likable as Johnson is. He has a great diplomatic approach to everything and never begins any trash talking.

if i had to guess they offered him $350,000 and he's not happy. it is what he is worth though, Johnson's not bringing any fans to the arena.

another problem is pavlik's dirty laundry was aired everywhere, including the money offered to him. i wonder if showtime is paying the same fee for Bute/Johnson as they were going to pay for Bute/Pavlik? I bet not, and that's why Johnson's singing praises to Showtime in the article.

He'll certainly be bringing fans to their TV sets, which won't be true of whichever mediocre nobody Bute will surely end up facing instead.

Regarding the sentence, the point I was making is he's probably a great boxer in your eyes because of his weak opposition.

There were plenty of great boxers entering the SS, but only a few leaving. Point is, you should be measuered on your skill level and your strength of schedule.

That's like calling Idaho Community College the greatest basketball team for going undefeated when they never faced DUKE or UCONN... Not that they ever would, but I think you get the point.
