Why do the US audience react so badly to Witter when he does flash moves/showboating?

I personally can't stand showboating - I think that it's just ****** and immature. The only guy whose showboating I didn't mind was Ray Leonard, because with him I could see that his antics served a strategic purpose: to psyche the other guy out. He was doing it because he was a smart fighter and he knew how to use a little showboating at the right time in order to mess with his opponnent. But when guys do it just to try to look cool or whatever it just makes me think that they've got the mind of a middle-schooler.

I caught the Witter-N'Dou fight again the other day, and was amazed at how much the crowd hated Witter for all his flashy moves (which were also attacking moves - they weren't flash without substance) yet Roy Jones gets crowds yelping for his chicken dance.

Is it because he doesn't have an established rep? Cos he's not from the US? What?

Not sure? But I was very surprised at how powerful witter was. He couldnt believe he knocked ndou down. Anyway hopefully Witter comes ot the US and fights more of the top contenders

why should he be fighting top guys like mayweather, cotto, etc...

hes had 20 fights only. no one steps up that soon, well not most people. mayweather was champ in his 18th fight but hes mayweather and malignaggi will never eve rbeat mayweather know matter what.

i would not be shocked if he could beat cotto right now actually.

i would definitely go with cotto but with malignaggis better technical boxing skills and his fast hands he could cause definite problems for miguel. he probably wouldnt hurt him, but you never know, cottos chin isnt the best at all as has been proven many times now. malignaggi has no punch though but he would definitely give cotto some problems.


junior witter he could possibly beat but im not to sure because ive seen 2 fights of him since the idiots here wont ever show him on TV.

ive seen one where he koed someone and the other was of course the judah fight.

tszyu he could beat with his skill, cause tszyu while he is definitely more skilled than i used to say he still isnt as fast or as accurate, or as busy as paulie.

hatton might beat ,malignaggi because of his style but i would definitely go with paulie in that fight by decision.

yes he is white but he is from brooklyn, ny which is how people of any race talk and act that are from there. thats one reason i can like him since hes not your typical white redneck, racing loving, beer drinking, racist, country ******, hes actually straight. his ****iness makes it even better. he always be an attraction because people will always pay in hopes of seeing him get beat.

he needs to get those hands fixed though for good. it would be terrible if he had to retire for that bull****. hes definitely a future star.

any fighter or person that speaks their mind, and what theyre saying doesnt go along with what the majority of people say and think they are blasted for it.

look at hopkins for standing up against the injustices of boxing, how he has taken a back seat through out the years because he tells it like it is.

judah, tyson, and toney were others. although tyson was always famous and always made tons of money he was always talked bad about because he kept it real and didnt put up some image like DLH, tszyu, holyfield, etc....

malignaggi is the same way and people will always hate him for it because they cant take it when someone doesnt agree with their opinions of whats right and whats wrong.

I'm from Philadelphia. A city with 1/10 of NYC's population, while being about 10x better a fight town.
Paulie just epitomizes the overhyped B.S. fighter coming out of that monster city.

A guy like him would have been beaten senseless coming through Phila's amateur program.
