I actually agree with Bernard. He more than likely stops Hearns late. I rather have him say that **** about Hagler though.

"I told him that I would have knocked out Hearns, and I know that he doesn't agree with me. But I would have loved to have been in that era," said Hopkins. "I'm not bragging or boasting, but I just believe that I would have held my own in wins and losses within any era of boxing."
Held my own, In wins and losses.

You can't be mad or outraged at that. That's how you come across as confident while still giving respect to the past.

This fool thinks just because he came up with a plan to beat limited Pascal, he can come up with one to beat the much more skilled Dawson! What a fool.

And he should be happy he never had to fight Hearns. He'd get braindamaged and ktfo. For the first time in his life he'd feel what its like to have your brains smashed in.

couple things; hopkins is a dinosaur, so its not cool to try and downplay the pascal win. he skooled faux jones jr. and as big a dawson fan as i am, he hasn't looked great in his last couple of fights. he's looked just as limited as you call pascal.

But Hearns is the greater fighter.
There was a time that I'd have agreed wholeheartedly with that, but i'm finding it increasingly hard to say that nowadays. B-hop is making his case every time he steps through those ropes as to why his greatness can't be denied.

I know, but thats gonna change when he gets in there with Hopkins, I hope. He knows its his last big chance and he can't blow it.

The middleweight Hearns, that fought Hagler and James Shuler would have KO'd Hopkins at any time during Nard's middleweight reign. Savagely!

By all means Hopkins is an all time great but he has not done enough to be considered greater than Tommy Hearns.

Especially in the last few years.

Beating Pascal at 46 was a great accomplishment but that's about as good as Hearns beating Hill when he was way past his prime and #1 in his 5th weight class.

                    Let alone the rest.
