hopkins takes his right hand away,schools him and stops him late

nobody schools tommy hearns. u can dog him but u cant school him. hearns easily outboxed leonard twice, he moved up to 175 way past his prime and outboxed a prime virgil hill who was a p4p player at that time, he even outboxed wilfred benitez over 15 rounds with one hand. to say any fighter would school hears is just ignorant.

as is it to say hopkins would win simply by taking hearns' right hand away. he broke his right hand several times like in teh benitez fight and managed to win without it. he had some of the best jabs and left hooks in the history of teh sport and great uppercuts aswell. he could lead, counter and put combinations togehter with blazing hand speed and crazy accuracy. there have been times when hearns knocked guys out and i couldnt even see the pucnh it was so fast, u just see his torso turning over fast as hell next thing u know the other guy is asleep.

hearns was a technical master and an offensive machine. if u want to say hopkins would school him or stop him for that matter u need to explain yourself.

I respect what Hopkins has done as of late but he should stfu. The dude is this eras Roberto Duran. Made a long run at a certain weight because he was bigger than majority of his opponents. Hopkins can't carry Hearns jock strap skill wise or resume wise.

Amongst the greatest WW's in history. Amongst the greatest Jr Middleweights in history.

Beat Pipino Cuevas at his optimal weight that is argubally better than anyone that Hopkins beat at MW.

Beat Wilfred Benitez and Roberto Duran at Jr MW, which isn't their optimal weight, however, they were ranked #1 and #2 at the time he fought them. And are also possibly better than anyone Hopkins has beaten.

He beat Virgill Hill, in his 5th weight class, way past his prime, when Virgill Hill was #1 at LHW.

All of this, amongst a long list of wins over Top 5 ranked opposition.

Is why Hearns is greater than Bernard Hopkins.

Iron, that's a pretty good argument, but, i still don't think that makes him greater. you're a pretty knowledgeable guy so I'm not gonna ramble on hops accomplishments, but, he's been the longest reigning middleweight champion, has yet to be knocked out, and the book on his career has yet to be finished.
