I would like to know why Martinez is considered overrated by some.

In the case of B-Hop, I think he's the greatest active fighter anyway. I don't even see a need to bring him into this. He's 46 & just beat the best champion in his weight class. Who he could have fathered, litterally. that's a better win than Floyd beating Mosley, or Pacman beating Clottey, Margarito, Mosley & Marquez when he does. Just Like Martinez beat the best middleweight champ, in the champs weight class.
Pac beat Hatton barely more than two years ago. He beat Cotto barely more than a year and a half ago. He proved himself years ago. Floyd is fighting Ortiz and beat Mosley in his last fight. He proved himself years ago.

My point with Hopkins is that when Martinez beat Pavlik, people immediately threw him in at p4p #3. People had him at p4p #5 after LOSING to Paul Williams. When he knocked out Williams, people began talking as if he's better than Pacquiao and Mayweather. None of that is as impressive as Hopkins, a proven fighter who has been atop p4p lists, beating Pascal twice, yet I don't see people throwing Hopkins atop the p4p list.

Martinez's last two years is not much more impressive than Pacquiao's, Mayweather's assuming he beats Ortiz, Marquez's, Froch's, Hopkins's, or Ward's, yet people think he is the unquestioned p4p #3 with an argument for #1. For losing to Williams, beating Pavlik, and beating Williams. This was before he even beat Dzinziruk, a good fighter but no world beater.

he never just goes for the throat like the other anti Pac guys do
always tries to cover up the agenda with some unrelated topic
then a blatant segue into his diatribes we supposed to not notice

Clottey, biggest win Judah. Never shows up when it's time to deliver. Margarito for a 154 lb title after being brutaly ko'd, a year layoff & returned against some guy in Mexico. Mosley, clearly shot, old, but somehow managed to survive against the best fighter in the sport right? Finally a Marquez who's only previous visit to welterweight was a horrible outing that absolutely no real boxing fan respected from Floyd. By the standards that Martinez are judged by, wouldn't that make Pacman, king of a very weak welterweight division overrated too?
They are both among my few favorite fighters and wouldnt say that either is overrated. I think they are both legitimate top five P4P in the world. However, a dynamic big man beats a dynamic little man, Martinez would KO Manny if they were to fight.

I noticed u mention Hatton & Cotto, but not Mararito,Mosley or Marquez at welterweight. U know the 3 garbage ppv fights IN A ROW. Like I said though, I leave Hopkins out the argumenyt because as far as i'm concerned he's better than all 3, all time. I don't really see a need to argue his position pfp because he's bigger than an opinionated little argument such as pfp.

Now while Hatton & Cotto were good wins, Pavlik, the Punisher are better in my opinion. Dzinziruk is better than Margarito & Mosley at the time of combat to me also. But like j ro said all 3 can be over or underrated depending on who's doing the rating. Just seems like Martinez gets the brunt of that to keep a man thats beating shot halfdead Margarito, Mosley & a welterweight Marquez higher.
