It's only safe if we know for sure he plastered his wraps against Cotto.

Both have deterioated and Margarito is a tricky fight for Cotto stylistically.

u think so??? i dont agree. as roach said "ive seen your last fight." if cotto struggles against margarito, whom i truly believe fits the definition of a shot fighter, then he really just isnt that good. style or no style.

So he came into 154, fought a bull**** champ, then fought a worthless Mayorga, and now he is fighting the best fighters? Look, if Cotto is so good, why hasn't he fought any top fighters? Fighting 3 guys in a row that aren't **** isn't avoiding the best fights?

People claim Floyds ducking Margarito (well, was) and pac. I don't agree about pac, but still.

A big name like Cotto could have taken other high ranked contenders and gotten away with it. Would have lost some respect from the hardcores possibly.

I'm glad he didn't. Cotto have never imo been a ducker, and I'm proud to be his fan because of it.

well if all trends hold maragrito could have walked up to cotto and punked him and if cotto said "we aren't fighting to prove who's best" and refused to fight him then he actually would have got more fans. it sounds insane but that actually happened for some reason.

i dont think hes a ducker...i do thing hes gotten comfortable picking safer fights tho, i dunno if its due to the influence of arum, etc. but hes not the same cotto we knew at 147, imo. that martinez fight could have been made. why it wasnt had less to do with martinez and more to do with cotto. if floyd or pac had done that to a guy who was willing to fight them at their weight, all hell would have broke loose.

While Foreman was not the best champ, he still was a legit one. Just like Pac fighting David Diaz or Floyd fighting Gatti.

Cotto got destroyed by Margarito, had a really rough night against Clottey and once again Destroyed by Pac. He should have a couple of rebuild fights.
Difference is he took on a champ and then a heavy hitter, unlike others who fight cums as their rebuilds.

Now he is fighting Margarito, who is NOT a bad fighter at all. Theres lots of money and history in it.

So who did he duck? Are you serious, or just trolling the guys who claim floyd ducked cotto?

I think it's abit harsh to call margarito shot based on a tuneup and a fight against a guy who destroys everyone hes fighting.

What a dumb thread. Foreman as his first fight at 154 is fine. Who else is there at 154 to fight? It's not exactly a star studded division. Mow he is rematching Marg. How can you shit on that?

BTW, I've yet to see these guys he's suppose to be fighting? List them....
