That is fine to say after the fact but check out some old threads and how many ppl were saying Foreman was going to be too good a boxer and some ppl even said he would stop Cotto, this was also a Cotto coming off of a TKO loss as well. Its a solid win anyway anyone wants to spin it, so we have Mayorga and who else as a soft touch opponent???

Just because you happen to want to see Cotto fight Margarito because you think it will be exciting does not mean that he is FIGHTING THE BEST. Add in Mayorga and Foreman and there is no way you can say he has fought the best fighters at 154.
? Ban yourself... He JUST got to 154lbs ! Until Floyd goes back in time somehow and faces the 3 fighters the world wanted to see him face, this argument is OVER.

Cotto makes Floyd look like sh it in terms of his desire to fight the best.

How can any real boxing fan applaud a fighter who denied the public the fights they wanted to see??

You can make excuses all you want but the bottom line is Floyd DUCKED the very best.

Do you think Floyd fighting Marquez at 147lbs was legit? Was that Floyd "fighting the best?" Add to that the fact that he came in over the limit against a 135lb fighter. SAD.

Fck outta here with your dumb ass interpretation of Cotto at 54.

ESPN did not go hard at Cotto for being a btch... they went at Floyd... You had radio host calling him a btch and making him look like a fool in debates about his ducking.

Just... cut it out. You suck at thinking.

I have come to the conclusion that boxing like politics, is all about bias and bull sht.

You have clowns spinning the BS in a way that helps them feel better about a guy like Floyd who cheapened the sport in the past decade. How did a btch sneak into a man's sport with a shoulder roll and 4 retirement parties?

In what universe does a fighter who blatantly denies the fights the boxing public is screaming for get a pass? I guess when you have enough hood**** who are impressed by dollar bills flying off a stage, they need a hero too.

"Floyd good shoo...Floyd ain't scare of no Luis Cotto shoo...Floyd the best...Floyd gunna buy me a car"

If Cotto fought any of the following guys: Lara, Angulo, Molina, Mike Jones, or even Saul Alvarez like what was discussed in another thread then I couldn't criticize him. But whether he fights any of these guys after the Margarito rematch remains to be seen. And like somebody else said, if he can't beat this version of Margarito then he isn't that good at this point and he should just retire

You're the idiot jackass. Learn to be civil and stop getting butt hurt about ****** ****. I never said Floyd didn't duck. All I've said is that Cotto isn't exactly fighting the best, and so his fans need to stop trying to act like he is. This has already been thoroughly covered. If you had bothered to read the whole thread you might not have said some of the ****** **** you have. The whole reason this thread exists is to counter the insane glory you guys are showering on Cotto. There were no less than 4 threads yesterday about how much of an insane badass Cotto was. Btw, what was Mayorga? And why are you bringing Floyd into this so much? Is that your real problem?

He just might answer your prayers and fight Angulo or Lara. But keep in mind, He just got to 154lbs got himself a belt at 54 and is looking to avenge his losses before anything. Don't you want Cotto/Margarito II ??

Should he fight 3 fights in December? Has Margarito fought Lara, Alvarez or Mike Jones yet?

I mean come on now... Your standards have more to do with your accent than they do with boxing on a pure level. It's bias son...

What the **** do you think a tuneup is? The best fighting the best? Floyd Mayweather fought Zab Judah as his second fight at welterweight, and Pac fought Cotto (albeit catchweight) as his first and Clottey second. Doesn't this sound better than what Cotto has done at 154? In fact, here is an interesting stat: Baldomir was May's third fight at welterweight, and you say May should have fought Marg or Cotto. Is Margarito the top ranked 154 pounder in the world, coming off of excellent fights? I don't think so. Just because you want to see the fight doesn't mean he gets props for fighting the best.

At least, Cotto made a wise financial move to make more money before facing a tough fighter. What about Chavez Jr. and Canelo both fighters have been milking their fans by fighting bums and no-hopers. Cotto is a better fighter than both of them.

its usually the ****** ass threads like these that get people going though. that's all op is trying to do. the guy has fought twice at 154 but he's ducking everybody.
