Genius, Cotto's best days are behind him at 147lbs. You want cherry pickin? Try Floyd who is at his best weight, and in his PRIME cherry picked BS fights at 147 !!

The only dude who gives Cotto any real issues at 154 is that middleweight Sergio. Right now Cotto, like a REAL fighter, is focusing on avenging his 2 losses.

    Has Floyd fought Sergio yet?

Has Margarito fought Sergio at 154?

Has Pac fought Sergio at 154?

Floyd's best weight was 130. You sound ******.

BUT, he’s claiming to be the best 147 pounder without acknowledging taking the same risk that Pac, Cotto, Margarito, and Shane took with each other to take a long vacation only to regress by fighting a natural 135 pounder in Marquez!

I don't think Floyd really cares about being the best at 147. LMAO at Pac taking risks at 147 against who? Clottey, De la Hoya, Mosley, JMM? Lol the only real opponent that Manny has faced at 147 was a damaged Cotto. Fast forward to the here and now, Margarito beat Cotto when he was the champ, then Mosley owned Margarito when he was the champ, then Floyd dominated Mosley when he was the champ. People are quick to forget that Shane was the # 1 ranked WW in the world when Floyd fought him. Now Floyd is fighting WBC WW champion Victor Ortiz who is a top 3 ranked WW. Floyd also beat lineal WW champion Baldomir some years ago. Who Floyd didn't fight 3 or 4 years ago has nothing to do with what's going on today. It's a simple concept that most people here don't seem to understand. A solid argument can be made that Floyd is the best at 147.

See, this is what I don't get. Floyd cherry picks blah blah blah, but when you go and look at history, there are numerous valid excuses as to why many of these fights didn't happen. Was it cherry picking or ducking? Maybe, maybe not, but we know Floyd wasn't fighting the best right? Okay, so the same applies to Cotto. Just because you happen to want to see Cotto fight Margarito because you think it will be exciting does not mean that he is FIGHTING THE BEST. Add in Mayorga and Foreman and there is no way you can say he has fought the best fighters at 154.

IMHO Cotto doesn't belong at 154, and if he ever fights a true, prime 154 lbs fighter he will be stopped. Cotto just takes too much damage; he could handle the power and come back from it at 140, at 147 he started getting hit more often by stronger punchers and it showed, & at 154 he's in for some serious damage.

Gotta give it up for Cotto's management, promotion, and devout fans though, almost all of his major big name/big money fights he's lost, yet he comes back against guys like Clottey, Foreman, & Mayo and people jump right back on the bandwagon. Marg is about the only fighter at 154 that he could possibly beat(although i don't see it), maybe jccjr.

Cotto needs to fight Martinez, if he fights Martinez and actually does good or win, I give him props and I would move up in the P4P rankings or division rankings.

Whats the problem he took one tuneup in Mayorga after a very solid win in Foreman an unbeaten bigger world champion and is now trying to avenge a loss.

I was making a point about your dumb ass expecting Cotto to be in prime and at his best at 154lbs...

For the record: I don't a fck about Floyd and his career. I have no patience for street culture garbage. For all I know Floyd started as a flyweight...I don't give fck or care to follow Floyd unless he is fighting a real fight.

Floyd cheapened the sport by acting like a child... a threat-fearing, money tossin punk. He was the epitome of....

Foreman ******! I don't care if he was the undisputed champion at 154--the guy plainly sucks. Mayorga was BS and Margarito is a fight I want to see, but that doesn't mean it represents Cotto fighting the best.
