Does Arturo Gatti belong in the IBHOF?

If you looks at his skill level, titles won, and biggest wins maybe the answer is no, but if you look at HOW he fought and consider how many epic wars, fights of the year etc he was in, maybe you say yes.

Personally, I think Gatti belongs in the IBHOF.

    I agree.

Purely based of the the fact that he was the most entertaining fighter in the last 20 to 30 years.

sure does the man always came to fight, always had entertaining fights against guys like ruelas, mayweather jr , ward trilogy , robinson fights and de la hoya along with patterson, the man never quit i will never forget when he was cut enough to show the bone on his skull and he kept on fighting he had a big heart in the ring. 2 weight division champion and always put up a good fight to the end he definately gets my vote to be put in the hall of fame..

Yup, and I also think that his premature death increases the likelihood of his induction.

Yes I think so. As already mentioned, induction shouldn't just be about achievement, it should also relate to a fighter's 'place' in boxing history. Gatti contributed a lot to the sport.

Due to his epic trilogy with Micky Ward and tragic death he probably is a shoe-in to get in.

He does not deserve to be in the HOF but he deserves to be in the HOF.
