    Larry Holmes world title defenses:

    Ossie Ocasio 13-0

    Mike Weaver 19-8

    Leon Spinks 10-2

    James Smith 14-1

    David Bey 14-0

Tell us: why do you unconditionally love Larry Holmes, yet constantly rant against Wladimir? Shouldn't a history section moderator be less biased?

Oh and as far as my supposed love of Holmes....if you knew anything about me you would know that I am very critical of several thing pertaining to him including some of his comp. But if you knew your history at all you would know EVERY fighter you named was top 10 ranked by "The Ring".

Etlux...remind me again who is getting owned here?

You are getting owned. You're evading the question of Larry Holmes world title defenses:

      Ossie Ocasio 13-0

      Mike Weaver 19-8

      Leon Spinks 10-2

      James Smith 14-1

      David Bey 14-0

Are some of THOSE title defenses as bad if not worse than a 15-0 Chisora?

All top 10 ranked by a neutral party with no ties to a championship belt. All with wins over other top 10 ranked opponents. Get a clue nuthugger.

He was inexperienced, but at least he proved himself before getting his chance. Chisora's best win is against fat, old Danny Williams who had lost his previous fight to an 8-3 fighter while twice being dropped.

          Next!!
And David Bey and Ossie Ocasio did exactly what to earn their shot at Larry Holmes?

So Ossie Ocasio's opponents like Gene Idelette 7-24-3 and Rafael Guerrero 0-4 were top 10 ranked?

            I don't think so.

              (sigh)

Bey beat Greg Page and Ocasio be top 10 ranked Jimmy Young. Page had beaten and lost to several top 10 fighters and would win the WBA title in his next fight. Dies that answer your question?

Hey boxrec, go back and read through my posts again. Jimmy Young was top 10 ranked. Do you need a link for proof?

                  What do you mean "Dies"?

Must have been a weak era, if someone as mediocre as Greg Page won a world title and if Jimmy Young was considered a top heavyweight.

Why are Klitschko tea baggers trying to change the subject of Wlads weak comp to another fighter?

Not quite as weak as an era that lets a guy with no wins over a top 10 fighter get a title shot though, right? Not quite as weak as an era that would allow a david Haye and Sam Peter to win a title either.
