Gatti lays it out, plain and simple, for all the Roy Jones fans. Gotta love it.

    "On Roy Jones

He got exposed when he lost to Tarver the first time. He never fought any opponents who wanted to beat him, everybody was afraid of him. For the first time Roy Jones showed his weakness and he can’t mix it up. He just tried to survive that fight, and he did…."

Right on the money, Gatti. I'm glad Gatti said this because he is the complete opposite of Roy Jones. Guys like Gatti and Corrales fight the best out there and either knock them out or get KO'ed trying. Roy Jones never took a chance in his career; therefore, he missed his chance to be legendary.

Actually....Gatti hasn't taken all the chances he could.
He avoided the best for most of his career.

He fought Oscar...because anyone would for that $$$$.

I think he reluctantly faced Floyd....& he didn't seem as eager to keep going with Floyd as he did lesser guys.

Throughout his career, he avoided dangerous guys, especially powerhitters.
If a guy like Corrales had been at 130-135 during Gatti's stay there, you'd never have seen those two fight.

              i understand
but i think he kind of wanted to fight floyd, or was pumped up for it at least. all the stories about floyds picture all over his house and stuff.

                .
                Jones CANT mix it up??

Jones doesnt WANT to take shots, and for 90% of his career he didnt have to. Many times opponents have rushed him and pinned him on the ropes, and he would cover up and pick them off with accurate short counters.

damn is roy still getting heat for not taking a risk? **** he got KO'd cold agianst tarver in the second fight and was given a run for his money in the first AND he still took the third fight.

he went up to heavy, against a fighter over 30 pounds heavier then him.

he put his undefeated record up against toney, who at the time was either 1st or 2nd on everybody's list.

damn i dont know what people want from roy jones
