    Gatti's opinion of Roy Jones

    Check *********.com

Gatti lays it out, plain and simple, for all the Roy Jones fans. Gotta love it.

    "On Roy Jones

He got exposed when he lost to Tarver the first time. He never fought any opponents who wanted to beat him, everybody was afraid of him. For the first time Roy Jones showed his weakness and he can’t mix it up. He just tried to survive that fight, and he did…."

Right on the money, Gatti. I'm glad Gatti said this because he is the complete opposite of Roy Jones. Guys like Gatti and Corrales fight the best out there and either knock them out or get KO'ed trying. Roy Jones never took a chance in his career; therefore, he missed his chance to be legendary.

    lol

LOL...funny about Gatti. Gatti looked like straight **** against Mayweather and was scared all night. Talk about not trying to win.

Roy is a legend and Gatti is, too, but for different reasons. Roy had skills...Gatti will not be remembered as a great. Roy lost cuz he was old, point in fact.

Hopkins, Toney, Griffin, McCallum, Hill, Paz, Woods, Tarver, Ruiz...plenty of quality opposition.

Gatti is seriously delusional. The only thing exposed in the 1st Tarver fight was that Roy was going downhill and was weight-drained.

    Next.

While I somewhat agree with Gatti's sentiments....I don't like them coming from him.
He himself avoided the best comp. throughout most of his career, & certainly avoided guys who were real punchers.
(Don't use his fight with Oscar DeLaHoya as an argument, EVERYONE would fight Oscar for the $$$$ that goes along with it.)

What the hell is Gatti spouting off for, I hate Jones and always have but he still holds easy victories over James Toney and Bernard Hopkins...Gatti holds easy victories over Leo Dorin and James Leija...

Maybe guys like Toney and Hopkins found Jones speed and reflexes just to difficult to overcome at the time they fought...just like Arturo a few short months ago.

His opinion may have been a biased. Yet coming from a guy who's a former champ, it still holds a bit of credibility.

Gatti is a joke if he said that. This is a guy who shamelessy avoided guys like Shane Mosley, Genaro Hernandez, Stevie Johnston, Gussie Nazarov when he was down at 130-135. Gatti has also been flat out blown out of the water against the 2 best guys he fought DLH and Floyd.

How can you say a guy was "exposed" after 15 years into his career, Winning belts at 160,168,175 and Heavy. You telling me Bernard Hopkins was scared of him? or how about James Toney?

Jose speaks the truth. I like Gatti, but the only thing exposed about Roy was that he wasnt in his prime anymore, but that's not to take credit away from Tarver, he gets all the credit for beating Jones twice. Is that Adriana Lima in your sig? Very, very delicious.

I agree, Gatti has no room to talk. Jones is an all time great. Not as good as he could have been if some fights had happend for him but he still ranks higher than Gatti!

Jones had unbelieveable God given natural talent in his prime, seeeing a prime RJJ in action - i'm talking mid 90's here - was something i'll never forget seeing. Even if u hate Jones, u can't deny the skillz
