That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. Floyd wants to be DLH, he wants to be Leonard, he wants to be the Golden Boy. The problem is, he can't because he has an annoying and abrasive personality.

He wants you to think he is content in being the bad guy but at every opportunity you see his true feelings come out in personal interviews where he b1tches and whines about why people don't love him and why he should be the greatest American athlete. How it's because he's black that he isn't the #1 athlete in America and nonsense like that.

Floyd isn't that smart to be playing reverse psychology, he truly hates the fact that Manny is loved and he is not.

I agree with all of this, but I think Floyd is smarter than I thought.

I agree, things can change for Floyd but I do disagree about Mosley and Evander, they were very loved it's just that they didn't have the personality that Leonard or Ali did, very few do.

Oscar was loved because he had the skills and personality and that very rarely comes together.

Let me give you another analogy, Floyd is like the prettiest girl at the prom and she knows she's the prettiest. She is constantly telling you she is the prettiest and how all the boys want to dance with her.

She tells you that her dress is the prettiest and the most expensive. She tells you she rode in the nicest limousine and her corset is the best.

After a while, she becomes ugly to you, because no matter how beautiful she really is, it's her attitude that turns people off to her. That's Floyd, the prettiest girl at the prom and all he does is repeat it to you over and over.

Also, you need to understand that perception of a fighter is based on how the avg joe relates to him. Guys like blue collar fighters, because they can relate to them. The like humble guys who prove themselves in the ring and let the writers and fans talk about them.

Floyd runs around flaunting money, thousands of dollars and the avg man doesn't identify with that. Floyd says over and over that legacy, the sport and it's history don't mean ****, what matters is MONEY.

That's why he isn't more liked because truth be told, Mayweather was smarter, with his good looks, smile and ability...he could have been bigger than DLH if he would have played his cards right.

Ali wasn't loved until well after his career. Leonard and ODH were loved because they were Olympic Gold medalists (at a time when boxing mattered) and had their problems hidden by the mainstream media.

If Leonard and ODH fought during the internet era, where evryone knew leonard was a coke head who beat his wife and ODH was a coke head who didn't acknowledge his out of wedlocjk son they wouldn't be as popular IMO>

Not really Walt. The contract for that fight was 144. The Pac-Floyd fight was 147 pounds. A weight he has made just fine for 5-6 years now. Floyd has never came in over 147.

That penalty is as legit as making Pac pay a crazy fine because Pac missed weight int he past. But they arent fighting at those weights they are fighting at 147.
