Yes. Manny would turn everything around by saying publicly RIGHT NOW that he will squirt blood on floyd's tampons right before they throw hands to get this fight done next spring.

He needs to be aggressive and not just lay back making easy money and letting the hype machine try and pull all the wool over everyone's eyes.

I agree with this. Martinez, Ortiz, Berto, Paule, P-Dubb etc all came out and said theyd take the tests no problems.

This is one of the biggest fights ever the reason for the hold up is becoming less understandable by the minute.

Decent post, but I disagree with some of your points.

1. Timothy Bradley was not as out of place at Welterweight as Ricky Hatton. There was no question that Bradley won his 147 pound debut and he actually had his man hurt or stunned in memory serves. Whereas, Hatton perhaps lost his fight and it was certainly questionable. Big difference.

2. Pacquiao does have options that could completely shut down Floyd Mayweather after Juan Manuel Marquez. If Ortiz beats Mayweather, then I assume that Manny fights Ortiz next. That would essentially check and mate and kill the legacy of Floyd Mayweather in some peoples eyes. Not mine, but some. Also, there's the chance of facing Saul Alvarez or even taking a HUGE risk with Sergio Martinez at 154. Doubtful, but it's possible. Still, he has options, is the point. Bradley is also a solid choice and if Maidana and Alexander fought, he could easily face the winner and get a credible win. He has plenty of options.

3. At the end of the day, both fighters need to fight inside of the ring. This contractual bull**** is for *******. They need to stop worrying and swaying or bending to the other. Just fight, then you can dictate the rematch. Otherwise, stop talking about each other.

And that's all this stuff is. The cleaning up the sport ****, this cut off day ****. All of this is just to get the other to listen to them. Just fight, or shut the **** up already.

Of course. But I think any reasonable fan knows floyd tried to make this fight happen. Once his compromise offer was rejected he said **** manny take tests or no fight.

If Manny had just said **** you floyd I'm not taking tests rather than the excuses then some of the srguments you and other pac fans have would be more legitimate.

You make some good points but I disagree that Manny is scared of fighting Floyd or has been psychologically affected by Floyd. Reason being that Manny hasn't been saying much, goes about his business and you know as well as I do that the fighters Manny has been facing are the best money option on the table.

You are right though, perception can be the truth some times and I think what is more important is what the public thinks in this case because they are the one's who are going to pay for the fight.

Outside of Mayweather fans, the people in this country and around the world want to see Floyd lose to Manny and that kills Floyd inside.

a couple points,

1) Manny's business hasn't been all that great lately, he's fighting crappy fights and certainly not building on the momentum he was creating by blowing out hatton and beating the bejesus out of cotto. it's been all downhill from there.
2) Floyd could be in his way to turning that around...if he is able to convinve people that he's the one who wants the fight and manny's the one who's ducking the tests. he hasn't done this enough, but he can if manny continues to be passive....

I think he does,16 months is a huge lay off and Ortiz will not come straight forward at him he will come with movement,i like the fight i think Mayweather will win but i made a few bets on here on Ortiz just for the fun of it.answer me this whats more respectable Floyd fighting a prime Ortiz or Manny fighting a past prime blown up Jmm.
