Not compared to recent WWs like Margarito, Williams and Cintron. But it's hard to imagine him still making 140.

He looked bulky as hell against Berto. Sure there are bigger guys at welter but he's big for the weight.

He's a very big welter. That was obvious against Berto.

He certainly looks like a very big WW and will probably be a Jr MW before too long. He was like 162 against Berto.

And, also I think others are just trying to make Ortiz look like a giant compare to Floyd. So they can make Floyd win look better than what it really is.

                  Just my two pennies.
                  You can say that again.

It's not unusual to start prospects at lower weights, where their size and power can tell. This was very much the case with De La Hoya, who was almost always much bigger than the guys he was fighting during the early stages of his career. Victor's probably a bit different though, because he's not tall or long for the weight like Oscar was, he's just a naturally big built guy.

I think fight night weight is a good tool to see how big a guy naturally weighs and how big his body really is when given an opportunity to fill out.

                      I think its fair
