By the way, I don't buy that Floyd is a small welter. Perhaps he was early on, but as he's gotten older he's grown right into this weight. If you look at his thighs and shoulders in his last couple of fights, he's looked almost a light middleweight in the ring. He also appeared to be appreciably bigger than Mosley in his last fight, a guy who campaigned at 154 for years.

And, no he's not a big WW man...Tito, Margarito, P-Will, Cintron, these were big WW's...Ortiz is not bigger than them nor their size. He's smaller than them.

I disagree, Clottey was bigger than Ortiz. Ortiz might be bigger or same size as Cotto. But, I never heard anybody mention Cotto as being a big WW.

      Jro just ended the thread..

Ortiz is a average size ww...

I say he's a pretty big WW. It's amazing that he made 140 with that body, he's massive.

I thought he re-hydrated to 165, I'd say Victor is a huge welterweight and b/c of his youth and athleticism he's more dangeorus at welterweight than junior welterweight.

yeah I thought the same thing. I think the best Victor is welterweight and later we might have a Vargas type of fighters at junior middleweight.

@TheRealPhantom5 good question. he came up[ from 140, but he looks the part of a big welter, not so much as Clottey, but full size for sure

sure he's not the size of a margarito or williams but they were freakishly huge for the weight

                    Clottey?

The welterweight that came into the ring at a whopping 170lbs?

Ortiz is an average size welter.

He's a Mosley sized Welter, may be just a tad bit heavier than the average Mosley (147lbs) fight night weight though. He's shorter than Oscar, and not nearly as big as Margs, Cintron, Williams, Tito, or Hearns; these guys were big Welters.
