So at WW and SWW, Margarito still couldn't handle Santos and Floyd moved up to 154 being much smaller, height and size and still beat an Oscar who was being trained by Freddie Roach and sparred with Shane Mosley. You are definitely overrating Margarito when it comes to Floyd. Sure I would have loved to see Floyd against Cotto and Margarito but I think it was more political than anything.

On July 21, 2001, he got his first world title try against southpaw Daniel Santos for the WBO World Welterweight crown, at Bayamón, Puerto Rico's Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum. The fight had to be stopped in the first round as a consequence of a clash of heads that opened deep gashes on both fighters and sent them both to a nearby hospital. Because the fight had not gone four rounds or more for a technical decision to be awarded, it was declared a no contest, and Santos retained the belt."

The Quoted Post: Very true that Margo lost to Santos at 154. The wording you are using is tricky though. Margo came on very strong, and was closing the gap very fast on Santos. The fight was stopped cause of a cut caused by a headbutt.
The fight at 147, was also stopped on a cut caused by a headbutt. Nothing was really proven. Santos came on strong early (and wobbled Margo twice), and Margo came on strong late, and dropping Santos once (if memory serves). All in all, the Santos fight was an L for Margo, but nothing people make it out to be.
EDIT: Come to think of it, it could have been Margo that hit the deck...Can't remember fully.Last edited by HandSpeed303; 06-26-2011, 06:42 PM.

Of course Floyd could have fought someone else after Zab but he already made it an obligation to fight Zab Judah. Why can't you get that in your brain already? Zab and Baldomir were the fights that people wanted to see and they happened to make Floyd the Lineal Champion of the WW division. The only one who is d!ck riding is you, because you keep side stepping and making up your own opinions and passing them off as facts. I'll give you a fact and that is, Floyd fought the right people in the division at the right time and if it wasn't for Bob Arum. We could have seen many more fights with Floyd and guys like Cotto and Margarito. You can believe Floyd ducked them and that's your right but I'll tell you right now. Whether it would have been Before or after. I still would pick Floyd to win. Funny how you only blame Mayweather for fights not happening like there were no other people involved. You are camouflauged as an unbias boxing fan but you come off pretty bias and if no one agrees with you, then you resort to calling names and talking ****.

Skill wise, Margo was never anything special...
As far as the Oscar comment...I don't deal in fantasy. Only fights that have happened.
