Maybe it wouldn't be a 3rd world country if they didn't have boxers for congressman. Some food for thought lol

Africa also has a lot of 3rd world countries maybe some people from them would like to buy Mayweather's fights to get behind an African American.

You see how ****** it sounds?

Look guys. I don't think Ortiz is undeserving of any big name who is willing to give him a shot based off his win over Berto and all that. But that still doesn't mean I don't think Floyd is a ho for taking this fight when there are guys like Sergio Martinez and Timothy Bradley (Yeah, I'm mad at him over the Khan thing but he beat Lamont Peterson a shit load more convicingly than Ortiz did). And hell, an old ass Morales came closer to beating Maidana than Ortiz did.

I don't like a lot of the Pacquiao fans who post on this site, but the Floyd fans are even worse because at least a lot of the hardcore Pacquiao fans admitted that they didn't like his fight against Mosley even before it took place.

I have yet to see one Mayweather fan say that Ortiz-Mayweather isn't a good fight. I'm saying it because it's not.

Martinez isnt a realistic fight. Obviously. For Pac or Floyd.

Bradley? The guy who is in all type of promotional struggles?

Ortiz is the best WW fight available not named Manny. Bar none. That cant even be argued.

Hes fighting a guy coming off his best and most impressive win. A WW Champion who earned his belt and who happens to be a young, prime, strong, hard hitting lefty.

Naw Im sorry. This is the BIGGEST fight of the year for a reason.

Nicely said... Floyd fighting a Former light welter who has one hard earned win at WW.. Come on folks.. Floyd who is the other top P4P boxer should be solidifying his greatness by fighting the likes of Pacman or a notable foe at 154.. Victor Ortiz?

They better promote this garbage real good by eliminating all clips of Maidana making Ortiz his QUIT..

Well 99% of boxing fans disagree with you. Stop trolling.

Name a better WW fight outside of Pac Floyd should have fought. Name him now.

Seriously shoot yourself with that statement.. The biggest fight of the year.. Ortiz IS IN NO WAY ANY THREAT TO FLOYD.. And if your gonna sit here and defend Ortiz and say he has a chance then YOU DONT KNOW BOXING..

Mosely, Cotto, Marg, Clottey, all beat Ortiz.. Even a Marquez outboxes Ortiz..

Floyd fans have been bamboozled.. and NO WAY did or have I ever agreed that Pac vs. Shane was a solid match up.. Shane was old when Floyd fought him and was old when Pac fought him..

Who will waste their time to watch a Mayweather fight on pay per view if he is not fighting Manny Pacquiao. We all know what happened to his last fight with JMM. GBP and HBO counted ordered drinks as PPV sales to make the number big. People won't be spending their precious time and money to watch a Mayweather fight. If he is fighting Manny Pacquiao then the whole world is expecting it to be the biggest event ever. The world is willing to spent time to watch Manny Pacquiao fights. Jimmy Lennon is now a household name after Showtime aired the Pacquiao/Mosley fight.

Hopefully, the rumors of this being widely promoted and being such a stacked card (a true boxing event perhaps) are true and the heated bidding wars between HBO and Showtime can increase the awareness of boxing in the US. I feel like boxing has been gaining steam this year:

                      - Hopkins-Pascal was the highest rated non HW fight on HBO since 2009
                      - JCC Jr and Canelo put up the best ratings for HBO BAD since 2007
                      - Kessler got 66% of the viewing audience of Denmark for his return fight
                      - Canelo had something like 35 million TVs tuned into his fight against Rhodes
                      - Haye-Klitschko promises to be one of the biggest international fights in years and the biggest HW fight in a decade
