Martinez...36 years old, wants a big payday, wants to be a PPV fighter, fought at 154.

Martinez made like 2 million or a little less to rematch Williams....biggest payday he has had to date. A Pac fight would make him 5 million or so....

Pretty obvious to me- the same reason every other fighter out there calls out Pac and Mayweather.

His inactivity is killing him. I hope he doesn't think a win over a rising star is going to let him ride all the way up to the top just like that. Either way though, I'd definitely want to see Martinez-Pirog.

only reason i seeing the martinez camp not pushing for a pirog fight is because they said themselves they want an easy fight after stopping dzinziruk and pirog doesn't sell tickets, especially here in the states. hopefully pirog can fight on hbo before the end of the year and this big fight goes down next year, since martinez is fighting barker in october.

Pirog has one good win over a decent prospect.


Martinez deserves a big fight.


Pirog needs to fight more top guys.


People wanted to see Martinez-Williams I & II, Martinez-Pavlik, Martinez-Dzinzuruk, Martinez gave the fans all of these fights and even shut me up, I use to be a Martinez hater, now I respect him.


If Pirog wants to shut me up and shut his other non-believers up, he has to keep beating top 10 guys impressively like Martinez has done.

I think if Pirog fights 2-3 times in US against top guys, he will eventually get a shot at MArtinez. I like both guys, but come on..Pirog has to earn this fight

I would have preferred Pirog over Barker because I never really heard of Barker and Pirog has somewhat of a name that has been circling around. Not believing Martinez is ducking a guy that has one prospect win under his belt when Sergio fought some of the best guys for 2 years. On top of that. Pirog wasn't looking stellar against his last opponent. Sergio Martinez is the best in and around his division.
