I have no sympathy for Pirog, his team should be out there making moves that force the fight by making the fight have more appeal.

Instead they are sitting on the sidelines begging basically.

what I don't understand is, why should sergio duck pirog... both are in the same boat.. they can't get anyone to fight them so they should fight each other.

Why does HBO back a Barker fight but not a Pirog fight?

Does one really have that much more of a hometown following than the other to justify the selection? Pretty sure it's insignificant. It just seems that if you're willing to bankroll one of them then the other would be just as good. And in that case the fans would prefer Pirog.

I can see Pirog beating Martinez or atleast giving him hell. Barker looks nice on youtube but I dont think he will be on Martinez's level on fight night. Martinez ducking Pirog? Pirog's promoters putting it out there. They're voicing their desire to fight Martinez loud and clear. Martinez told chavez not to duck him. He should lead by example and not duck Pirog. Pirog and Martinez are tied together in a way. Martinez needs this fight for his legacy of taking on all comers IMO.
