is that the WBO screwed Martinez big time and his team does not want to give that sanctioning body any type business (sanctioning fees) because of the way they were treated by the WBO. Watch, the second Pirog gives up that title or has it stripped for some BS reason, this fight will be easily made.

Yeah, because that's what Darren Barker did.

It can be argued that Darren Barker is finally just a resting fight, a resting fight that Martinez wanted when HBO shoved Dzinzuruk down his throat after the big Williams KO. He stopped Dzinzuruk.

If Martinez goes along with what some dumb ass fans want all the time, he'll never get any where. He gave the fans the fights they wanted to see back to back to back to back to back, fighting the top guys that not every one can beat.


With that said, I don't even see Pirog as a tough fight. And I hope to see Martinez vs Pirog in 2012 finally to shut that old, green, 30 year old under 20 fights having, one hit wonder up.

The public ain't demanding a Pirog fight because the public doesn't know Pirog, if Pirog wants it make it happen if he is that good he should be able to beat enough solid guys to make the public want the fight.
