Martinez beat the lineal champ, and the #1 contender.

Paul Williams was not rated at Middleweight. The #1 contender was and is Sturm. And winning three good fights, albeit in great style, of which only one was against a rated Middleweight (and even that one against a fighter coming off a long lay-off and problems with alcoholism) does not equate to cleaning out the division.

Martinez looked great in his last three fights, but he really needs to fight some live top 10 Middleweights, starting with Sturm.

No one is saying he's terrible. But no one knows who he is and he's not on Martinez level. Sergio came off a huge win against Paul Williams and is now begging for fights.

I realize this Barker fella isn't world class, but, I wouldn't be surprised if he defeated Sergio. The only people who believe Sergio is some unstoppable beast are the Sergio stans, as such, I doubt it would be shocking to those with even minor knowledge on the sport of boxing if he were to get stopped by Barker.

He should be cleaning out his division while having his stay busy fights, by fighting Ring top 10 Middleweights - which contrary to your previous post, he hasn't begun to do.

martinez needs to ditch dibella for gbp or something, i'm sure they could've gotten one of the top 5 MWs. martinez's camp did say after the dzinziruk fight that they want to get an easy fight, i'm guessing barker is it...hopefully after this though, he can get a fight on with one of the top 5 MWs.
