what does that have to do with anything? So if Floyd decided he wanted to wear 14oz gloves, that would favor Cotto, right? It makes no sense. Dont tell me that the softer puncher has the advantage with smaller gloves.
Even if what you said was true(which it isnt). Cotto's cuts are more than offset by Floyd's brittle hands. Floyd doesnt have any advantage with the smaller gloves and Im sure Cotto wouldnt & didnt complain in any way
I can't understand why you can't see it. Check out Cotto's all three fights at JMW. He won all three by TKOs. Although his opponents were not considered A level fighters, he did it with the regular gloves required for that weight and as far as I know, he didn't suffer any serious cuts in those fights.
Compare that with his last fights at WW where they used 8 oz gloves. In his fights with Clottey, Margo and Pac, he suffered serious cuts that caused him big trouble. Even in the Clottey fight it gave him some serious problems even if he won that fight, but it was still controversial. Don't you think that Floyd will not exploit that apparent weakness of Cotto? And wouldn't it be easier for Floyd to achieve that plan by using thinner gloves?
Before Floyd was scheduled to fight Cotto his fans discredited everything for Cotto to make Pac look bad. Now that Floyd is fighting him a lot of his fans claim it to be the best fight ever. Pathetic if you ask me.
so the advantage of smaller gloves doesnt go to the puncher?
Not if the puncher cuts easily and when he gets cut, he ceases to be the aggressor.
Btw, Floyd's brittle hands does not seem to bother him anymore. Could it be because of some kind of drug that although illegal in some states is legal in Nevada.

Did you say could it be?
Not true,, it depends on how beat up they are to begin with but not because of the cuts.

Go watch Cotto's fights with Margo, Clottey and Pac at WW where 8 oz gloves were used. See if Cotto does not cut easy. Check out also how Cotto reacted when the cuts got serious.
Now compare those with his fights at JMW where he did not suffer serious cuts when using 10 oz gloves.

First ,, you started with margo. The conversation stops there.
What's your point? Explain please. Remember the subject is about how easily Cotto get's cut.
Alright, hold your horses.
Cotto was hit repeatedly with margos bricked hands. Do I need to elaborate on that? I understand cotto had been cut before but nothing like he suffered against margo in the first fight. And yes, cotto was cut again in the second fight but not as serious the first go around. That time thou, margo was watch with keen eyes with his hand wrappings. Too bad the rematch was stopped too early.
