No one got a gift in that fight,it was the fairest scorecard that could be giving tbh..A fight that close can't be a robbery or a gift..

BTW I had it a draw on the night of the fight, but watching it back Peterson won that fight by a rd imo..

That fight was one of Gattis last fights, he had already been through three wars with Ward, de la hoya, robinson, and others. Not the same Gatti.

      google lamont peterson sparring mayweather

victor can win, he just needs the right gameplan, lot of head movement, fast thinking and aggression like in the hatton fight and when clinched he needs to rough house the **** out of mayweather and just go berserk to show his will and strength.

So Floyd who A) hits harder than Peterson B) has more skill than Peterson should be able walk right over him. I'll give some credit to the whole Ortiz was weight drained at 140 but honestly, it didn't seem like he physically couldn't keep up with Chino or Peterson, it seemed he couldn't keep up mentally. Kid seems to get frustrated and come on that is Floyd's greatest ability IMO the ability to frustrate opponents.

I wouldn't say Peterson outboxed Ortiz as much as Ortiz stopped fighting because everybody thought he had the fight won. Lamont didnt do much latter in the fight its just that Ortiz did a lot less then lamont

Exactly, better stamina, bigger, stronger. Reminded me of Cotto when he moved up to the WW division. Now heart, I'm still on the fence with that.

i like both guys and am rooting 4 both guys-- all i want 2 c s a great fight.

Peterson is a DAMN GOOD FIGHTER, he sparred with Mayweather and a lot of people say he did well against him...but SPARRING IS SPARRING!

But Lamont Peterson would give a lot of those 140 fighters problems, he would have gave Khan MAJOR PROBLEMS if Khan would have taken that fight and didn't try to Low Ball him with the Money

Only problem with Peterson is that he doesn't have any Power and he can be a little clumsy with his footwork in that ring but Ortiz struggling with Peterson is not as bad as people are trying to make it out to be...I think a lot of those guys in that 140 Division really don't want nothing to do with him, Bradley and Ortiz had the BALLS to fight him, the others will try to avoid him as much as they can

Peterson would probably out-box Alexander and Maidana and I think he would give Zab and Khan some problems

OH I BELIEVE IT! Peterson they way he moves and the way he gets extremely low to avoid punches, that would give ANYBODY PROBLEMS

But Spar is your chance to experiment and try different things and to see what would work and what probably wouldn't...so yes it is very possible that Peterson did well against him...IN A SPARRING SESSION!
