Size, strength, power and stamina maybe.

His output I would argue increased because he was fighting someone who is difficult to miss.

Hard to say off of one fight, but that one fight showed me an entirely different fighter.
100%...Ortiz that fights at Welter makes the one that fought at JWW a ****in huge 140 Lbs fighter. Its actually crazy to see him come in at 160ish on fight night vs. Berto and to think that only a few months back he was making 140Lb limit...I think he showed us that he has heart and determination, cuz without those 2 things he would have been stopped in round 6 or whatever and he woulda given up and been UD from that point on....But as regards to skills Reed, I would say that Ortiz still has the same gapping holes in his game that he had as a JWW.. Floyds makes peoples flaws hurt them and hurt them very bad by exploiting them in the fight, I would not be suprised if we witnessed a Gatti like beat down on Sep.t 17th, but nor would I be suprised if Vic took say the 1st 4 rounds and May shuts him out for the last 8 kinda like what happened in the Judah fight. Bottom line is that Victor can traint his ass off and be as prepared as ever for a prizefight, but to me it comes down to how Mayweather shows up and what type of fight he wants to fight, cuz he could seriously do some damage with his right hand leads and check hooks all night. I am leaning towards Mayweather by 8 or 9th round stoppage because Victor cant continue..........

PS and if this was to happen, I am now a Victor Ortiz fan not just because of his upset which I think it was a big upset win over Berto, but because this kid has the balls to take this fight, the tests and challenge himself against a top 2 P4P fighter in the world, irregardless of if he is ready to step up to this competition or not, hes willing to try it!

Barely won? I don't you grasp the concept of unanimous decision, it was clear as day.

147 Ortiz displayed more will and determination, Berto is a bigger puncher than Peterson yet Ortiz didn't back down. Ortiz was ****** in moving back against Peterson.

Basing your whole post off speculation. Great.

Ahhh the old 'you have never boxed!' argument, classic. You don't know a single thing about me.

'You bet' I was? Do you?

How is the fact Peterson got a lucky draw make my argument pointless? My argument is he hasn't really changed other than physically since that fight. The fact Ortiz deserved the victory is irrelevant.

He backed up because he was being successfully countered and didn't know how to deal with it. Berto although better than Peterson, does not have that ability.

Expect the same thing from Ortiz September 17th.

I think he learned from the Maidana and Peterson fights that he needed to be more aggressive, can't just back down when the going gets tough. Skill wise there was nothing different. He squares his body up every time.

Absolutely....And I see people with less skill set then what Mayweather has easily outpointing Ortiz soo what does that tell you about what Mayweather is going to do when he gets in the ring with him. I still like the fight a lot, and its certainly 10x's better then the bulllllsshiiittta fights that Pac's been putting on since the Cotto fight, even that was questionable at best...

berto is untested too. maidana might be able to *** up berto too. i think everyones getting carried away with one decent victory over an untested fighter in berto. lets not forget ortiz is on a 1-1-1 streak.

You gauge that on one fight at ww?
Mayweather is going to make Ortiz look like a amateur.
Ortiz and Berto were just landing bombs, with absolutely no regard for any solid defense. He's up against the best defensive fighter in this era.

It's a walk in the park for Mayweather.
