Exactly! I take it that you went and rewatched Ortiz vs Peterson like I suggested?

        Why?

Lamont Peterson may not be as good a fighter as Andre Berto but he is certainly a much much better counter puncher.

If Berto had those kind of skills he would have given Ortiz much more problems than he did.

I would agree Ortiz has improved since Maidanna but I would have to disagree he is a different fighter compared to his fight with Peterson.

I struggle to see the difference.

Gee you ust love my coment about boxing being more global. You need to ask this question how would Armstrong due today ? He fought a bunch of weak ***ish guy. He fought open swinging haye makers. Take someone like Duran Chavez Sr. Actually I think the 70's and 80's had the best boxers

The skillset is the same, it's his size, strength, stamina, intensity, punch output and power that changed.

Peterson got a gift draw so your arguement is pointless. I can see you never boxed cause wieght draining your self hamper your performance. Ortiz couldn't make that wieght class anymore if he could he would have knock Peterson out. I bet your one of thoses idiots that was mouthing out that Berto was going to make easy work out of Ortiz
