Manny having to lose the extra weight for the weigh in will make a difference - that's obviously why he refused to go down to 140, even though he knew damn well that he would have got far more credit for beating Marquez at 140 than he'll get at 144, both now, and in terms of his legacy. If he thought it would make no difference, he would have had be certifiably insane to take the fight at any weight above 140. The proof is that no boxing historians consider this to be a meaningful fight, whereas they would have if it had been at 140.
Is Ortiz being over-rated due to his win over Berto?

I agree if Floyd had wanted to fight Pac, they'd have fought by now.
And, if Pacquiao had wanted to fight Floyd, they'd have fought by now.

Really Dave? Floyd keeps yelling take the tests over and over and over. Itys really not rocket science. Obviously the OSTs is an issue. The fighters cant come to an agreement on it.
You got Arum setting up fights months in adavance.
Before Pac even fought Clottey, Arum promised Margarito a Pac fight for November.
Before the sweat dried on Mosleys coward face Arum was setting up JMM-Pac 3. Before JMM can pour his first glass of piss , Arum is talking Pac-Bradley.
Be a realist.Comment

In the original negotiations, both fighters were partly to blame but Floyd was more to blame than Manny was. Subsequently, Floyd has made no serious attempt to re-enter negotiations, or to make any concessions in order to make the fight happen - quite the reverse - whereas Manny has made some concessions and has at least made a show of trying to get negotiations restarted.Last edited by Dave Rado; 06-08-2011, 08:00 PM.Comment

Yelling to the media isn't how you make a fight happen. In fact yelling to the media was what screwed up the original negotiations.
