This man speaks the truth, it is sickening how many people disrespect a young champ like Ortiz who by the way proved all you haters wrong in the Berto fight. You can say he quit vs maidan but what is the saying in boxing? A true champion always gets up and comes back from defeat? There are many sayings out there that refer to the situation Ortiz has been in and came back from.

Y'all are just hating on the man because he proved you guys so wrong when he went through hell in the 6th round of Berto but didn't give you the satisfaction of quitting but instead took it to the champ and beat him in impressive fashion. larry was saying so much **** about Ortiz before the berto fight like saying Berto would dominate but he looked like a jackass, Ortiz proved him and everyone else in the boxing world wrong.

I always supported Ortiz even after the Maidana incident and I will always support him. Same with Montiel and Paul Williams.

If something Ortiz is underrated, he was dominating Maidana and had a mental breakdown, he rectified that in the Berto match. Peterson did give him a hard fight but again I believe in the Berto fight what he is truly capable of.

I believe the May/Ortiz fight is a 50/50 fight with a slight advantage to Ortiz IMHO. He will show the world what he is made of and hopefully he will no longer be so disrespected like he currently is, but the haters will probably still talk ****

To answer the OP. Hells yes. Berto was a good win, maybe a great win for Ortiz, but he quit against Maidana and drew against Peterson. Let's be honest, the guy is quite limited.

Ortiz beat Berto because Berto fought Ortiz's fight. Floyd wont make that mistake. Floyd knows Ortiz has some heavy hands and will be throwing bombs. He will pot shot, hold and move. A few right hand leads here and there, then follow up by falling in and holding. He'll smother Ortiz's punches. Ortiz only wins if Floyd gets careless and gets caught with something that puts him on ***** street.

I thought Berto was overrated and given that reason I knew Ortiz was gonna win. The fight with Lamont could have gone either way. IMO...I think May takes the kid to.school and gets a majority decision or May puts pressure and that's all she wrote. Like Ortiz, but is young without experience and patience. we'll find out where he stands post fight.
