Jim Rome is def one of the legit boxing guys on ESPN. I resepct him greatly. I'm sure he's just throwing a tantrum here, something he's prone to doing. Can't fault him. With that said, if Floyd/Pac isn't gonna happen then I wanna see both of them in the ring with legit fighters. This is a legit fight.

yeah funny part was that rome told camacho in person i like you as a person and all but i gotta call it the way i see it.. good luck lol. he said camacho was more intersted in making out with some chic he brought up to the station with him, thought they were about to have sex there right on the spot...

but yes he was a big time fan.. he did interviews with sweet p, terrible terry, bowe, holyfield and just recently for the first time mike tyson

This is the year 2011, in 2011 he has proven many times along with many on ESPN that he has no real deep insight about the currant boxing world. What he knew in the 90's holds no bearing on what he knows on currant boxing.

I don't know what he was, but he certainly isn't a 'hardcore boxing'...not for the past 5 years at least since I heard of him here in Canada.

He interviews some boxers infrequently, big whup. He also jumped on the boxing is dying bandwagon which is just as bad as any of the talking heads on ESPN.

He also loves the UFC, which is fine (they sponsor his show so no surprise), but this dude 5 years ago was calling for MMA to be banned. Typical loud mouth sports 'personality'.
