Its a very good fight and hard for anyone to knock Floyd for picking Ortiz as an opponent. Ortiz is a young, strong, hungry fighter who just came off the best performance of his career not to mention Floyd will have been off for 16 months at the time this takes place.

my only concern is Ortiz's mentality, he looked possessed and hungry in the Berto fight, I hope he brings it to the Mayweather fight and doesn't become complacent because he has the belt. Mayweather has been clipped multiple times by southpaws, and Ortiz is physically the strongest southpaw he's faced I can see Ortiz hurting Floyd. Dangerous early on before Floyd takes the fight via a wide UD or TKO if he lets his hands go.

I really wanna see the young and hungry Ortiz, not the one who backed up away from Peterson.

This is the best fight floyd could have made and i for one am way more pumped about this one then both of floyds last two fights put together. He really steped up with this move.

Neither man is "ducking" sergio, and anyone claiming differently should be slapped. The man is a middle weight. Enough said

We are talking about a guy that struggled going the distance with Peterson in a draw a couple fights ago and quit last year in a loss to Maidana. Yes he won a good fight against Berto, but don't you think Mayweather knew about the Peterson and Maidana fights when he signed? Of course he did. This should be considered a tune up bout. My only hope is that Golden Boy can raise Ortiz up another level so the fight is competitive.

who cares he was the best choice despite his loss to maidana..do you think the so called p4p duckqiao didn't know about cotto being damaged from margarito or margarito being damaged by mosley or mosley being mayweathers leftover or de la hoya being weight drained and floyds leftover or hatton not being the same fighter after the floyd loss and that's the so called p4p we're talking about who's had his last 7 fights cherry picked for him by his master bob arum.

this is a good fight and anything can happen because ortiz won't be weight drained and he's mentally there because he didn't come from a big loss..mayweather will too much skills for him..mayweather is the best no one can approach him..he's right next to sugar ray robinson when it comes to ALL TIME GREATS.

Yet he couldn't beat Lamont Peterson at 140? Your right maybe he is Mayweather material!

It will look like the Gatti fight all over again.

Gatti/Hatton/Mosley. I mean really who wants to pay $65 for a one sided beat down.

Ortiz is OK opponent but not something u want to buy, not a great match IMHO. If its Martinez/Williams/Pacquiao ill buy it, atleast they have a chance of beating floyd IMO. Ortiz lack of defense is just going there to look for that one punch KO.

All people can do is hope it will great match but in reality its not. I mean who the fawk is picking ortiz to beat floyd.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd gets knocked out in the first round.
