If either Leonard or Duran had the opportunity to fight Martinez best believe they'd take it.
Leonard is/was about 5 inches taller than Manny P. and Duran was a very lazy trainer, naturally bloating up between fights. Eventually he kept going up, even fought at supermiddle. Camacho was the same, as their activity level dropped so did their weights go up. Duran's last fight was a loss to Camacho at middleweight, when he was 50 years old.

Certainly not. That gimmick of including the so-called light-heavy title fight as well was a that fight was arranged.fraud. It was purely both to boost up Leonard's return and take unfair advantage of Lalonde, a natural light-heavy. I was living in Canada then and I remember how annoyed the boxing public was when that fight was announced.

Lalonde in an interview some time later was philosophical about it, but said that the money was too good to refuse, and he needed it. Something like the way Corrales went back down and swated and starved himself for Mayweather. He also said "they made me an offer too good to refuse....."

Sugar Ray sure avoided Hagler for years.

which means he had to do as best as he could to fight here & there (going against medical procedures)

this forum is filled with wack jobs........
I'm sorry to disagree with you, his eye was not "bashed to pieces" There is no need to use super exaggeration and hyperbole. He had a detached retina, which, at that time was not nearly as easy to re-attach as it is today. there were often failures with that procedure.

Duran wouldn't care, Ray great fighter but he'd ask for a catchweight.

Jake Lamotta would fight a heavyweight if allowed too.

Hahahahaha, haters so desperate to see Pac lose.

There is a difference, Pac can't even make the limit of welterweight division. Sugar Ray was 165 for the wbc super middleweight title. Duran also was weighing in the super middleweight when he fought in that division.

I guess it mans nothing t you that Duran was blown up and fat, and that Pacquiao comes into fights at 145ish with an incredibly low body fat and ripped?

The Welterweight Pacquiao today was no smaller than Duran.

And whose fault Duran is blown up and fat and Pac is ripped?

Nope, Pac is still smaller. Pac has reach his highest division at welterweight. Duran moved up to super middleweight but didnt' have that much success. His last good win was against Barkley at middleweight.

you ****** dumbass, the point was that if Duran came into his fights in the same physical condition as Pacquiao, they would be the same size.

in other words theyre naturally about the same size.
