What can Emmanuel Steward really do for Chad Dawson?

Tell him to let his hands go? And repeat it every round? That's not Chad Dawson, man.

Chad Dawson and Manny Steward are polar opposites.

Chad Dawson is never going to go out after every round and "let his hands go" which seems to be Stewards best/only advice.

Like I have said, I see this as a winnable fight for Hopkins.

      Can't wait for this fight!

Not picking a clear winner as BHop is my #1 fav fighter and Dawson is my #2 fav fighter.

I don't know if that demeanor works for or against Dawson, but that is part of why the fight is interesting (to me anyways).

Dawson is pretty damn skilled. I think that gets lost on people lately as he's not been in the most entertaining fights lately, but he has good skill, some pop, is quick, and long and lanky.

          I like the fight too.

I can see why people would like B-Hop because Dawson is pretty inconsistent minute to minute and if B-Hop can drag him away from his fight Dawson could have a lot of issues.

If Dawson fights his fight I think you have to like his chances, just based on the athletic advantages he has. He just needs to keep his head to a degree and not fall into the trap of fighting B-Hop.

At least Dawson is not going in to hurt B-Hop which is like the number one mistake guys make against him.

Let Chad be a bit like Chad. And expand his already existing game. Chad is NOT Hearn. Increase effective aggression/work rate is foremost the most important for Dawson right now.

Exactly, but thats not how Steward works. He wants his fighters to be agressive, pretty much always has.

I mean, telling Wladimir Klitschko to let his hands go? Why?

I don't see Steward and Dawson mixing well at all and I garantee they will stop working together soon.

Dude, I tell ya. He doesn't look that good to me. MAYBE it's ring rust but I think the primary reason is that he needs to fight his own style. If he fought like that against Glen Johnson, it would have been a long night. Maybe Stewards is not right for him as some have said.
