I don't see Steward and Dawson mixing well at all and I guarantee they will stop working together soon.
First of all, Stewards is an excellent trainer but I don't think this went well for this fight. Can you imagine in the locker room after the fight?

    "How come you did this..that...this...that?"
"Why did you stop doing this..that...this...that?"

    Sigh.....oh well.

Tell him to let his hands go? And repeat it every round? That's not Chad Dawson, man.

Chad Dawson and Manny Steward are polar opposites.

Chad Dawson is never going to go out after every round and "let his hands go" which seems to be Stewards best/only advice.

Like I have said, I see this as a winnable fight for Hopkins.
To add, Steward isn't an everyday trainer. My dads know him real well and he said that other trainers train "his" fighters then he comes in with about two weeks left to polish everything basically. I don't see Manny doing much with or for Dawson.

I wonder if he does that with Wlad who probably is his number one money maker?

Not sure, but my dad lived and trained in Detroit for a while when Kronk gym was pumping out champions and that is what Manny did.

Maybe it's mentality and perhaps some of it is age. Could be chemistry....Dawson is not that young anymore in totally adapt to a new style. Whatever it is, I didn't see it working man. I thought Dawson was gonna be a lot more aggressive but the left power punch simply is not there.

Awesome. I have no confidence in this pick, but Dawson UD.
