BHop probably figured him out already. Chad is not really ready for him. Needs at least another to establish/integrate or reject Steward's style.

Also Hopkins is a not a puncher, and has the workrate of a grandpa. Dawson can simply outwork him to a decision, but if he wanted to he can also try to get Hopkins out of there.

Dawson's best punch is the not the right-jab, but the right-hook, he can also throw the left-uppercut effectively which is rare for a converted southpaw.
I woudn't place so much value on Dawson's workrate, if I were you. Often times Chad takes rounds off and lets guys he's clearly beating get back into the fight.

And even if that weren't the case ; Hopkins negates workrates all the time. Look at what he did to Calzaghe, a guy well known for his incredible workrate. Against Hopkins he managed only half the effort he had in previous fights.

Ontop of that Hopkins does subtle things that take away his opponet's fighting spirit. Look at what he did to Pavlik, and how little he was able to get off against Hopkins.

Look at both Pascal fights. That wasn't all just stamina issues. Pascal threw a lot more punches against both Diaconu and Dawson than he did in either fight with Hopkins.

I'm curious to see how Dawson fights after Hopkins takes his jab away, because we know hopkins is great at doing that. What's left in his arsenal? Can he adapt? Can he fight up differently, without having to set up his shots?

Will be an interesting chess match.

Possibly. We'll see how hungry Dawson is, that's what I don't know. i believe Taylor was a good fighter then and was hungry to prove himself. Maybe dawson has that in him after losing to pascal, but he didn't look too inspired in his rebound fight. Tough to tell, though.

BHop has a decent straight right which works well against southpaw.
                    BHop likes slower work rate.
Dawson needs to pick up EFFECTIVE work rate EARLY in the fight and win the 1st 4 rounds and have aggressiveness somewhere between Calzaghe and Taylor. Then go to plan B and readjust and make BHop readjust again. I don't think Dawson has adjusted to Steward's style. I think Stewards should accomodate Dawson's style and make refinement instead of drastic change at this point.

taylor has always been a really good fighter, he just got exposed with stamina issues when he faced pressure fighters like pavlik and froch
