to me, it reaffirmed it. i mean his longevity is something that is just nonexistent in the world of boxing. its amazing.

Exactly. He's been schooling these young lions for years. Next is Dawson, then perhaps Bute. Most likely once again he'll be the underdog in both fights.

deinfentely ****** posters in here: Hopkins biggest wins are throughout his career..Pac's biggest wins are 4-5-6 yrs ago... Cotto's,Margaritos, Clotteys and Mosleys where all just dismantled, suspended, handpicked and over the ****ing moutain... As bad as people hate on Pascal he's young strong and wont get picked apart like Hopkins did him again, til later in his career... Both of them have there hardest fights ahead of them and whileHopkins will be the underdog, he's very live and a win over Dawson would propel him dramatically past pac and Floyd for sure.... Pac has to get by a guy JMM whos the underdog but has a very good shot to last like Mosley but hit and possibly beat Pac like Morales did!!

Hopkins has been a top p4p guy longer then Manny has been relevent!!

*claps* Indeed. However it wasn't until last night that the media is FINALLY giving him his just due. He's worked hard for it and finally got it.

He has looked so bad everytime he's stepped in competition. He lost to Carl Froch, beat an overrated Chad "I spar in every fight" Dawson, got a draw against Hopkins, who should've lost that one as well and finally last night lost.

An overrated win but good nontheless but to call him this generations fighter when you got Pacquiao and Floyd in the same generation is absurd to me.
Worst light heavyweight of all time ? lol.

That's a bit over the top don't you think.

Yeah i agree, Pascal isn't no Pacquiao or Mayweather in terms of abillity or achievements but he was 18 years younger than Hopkins, has quick hands and good power and solid boxing ability. Hopkins was able to hurt Pascal like he was able to hurt Pavlik, Tarver, Trinidad, etc. All guys who are known for being able to take big hits.

Pascal would pose problems for anyone at light heavyweight. You make out beating Chad Dawson was easy. Before that fight, he was supposed to be the future king at light heavyweight, Pascal ended that talk.

I would favor Dawson in a rematch though.

Those who are saying Hopkins is this generations fighter isn't correct imo, fight fans tend to get over excited when a fighter has a good win so wait for things to cool down and watch peoples opinion change.

This generations fighter is between Pacquiao and Mayweather, Hopkins is slightly below that level.

Fair posts. I like Hopkins, but Pascal definitely isn't the best fighter Hopkins has beaten, just a welcome addition to the W list. He may be getting inadvertently upped to a higher level than he should just because Hopkins beat him.

Markbnlv got it right you gotta look at Hopkins entire career, to say his a level below pac, may and calzaghe(lmao) is upserd, Hopkins has been way more active then Floyd, fought fighters coming off there biggest wins unlike pac,,, and Calzaghe got outta dodge before a rematch with Hop and has about 4 solid guys on his resume worth mentioning..... Hopkins has basically had 2 careers 1 as MW champ for years and as a old guy schoolin everyone!!

                      yeah,
but you guys said Chad Dawson was the future p4p nr 1, the best light heavy and all of sudden hes bum since Pascal beat his ass in fashion.

Btw who was the guy who Foreman beat?

                      show some respect.
