I would say that is more telling about how CBS ****ed up. EliteXC was a sham and a corrupt organisation who NEVER had any bigtime success.

It was folded day after Kimbo lost, and is seen as a laugingstock in the mma world.
Kimbo was a big "star" before he even knew what mma was. Thank youtube and the internet for that.


Noone is comparing UFC to nfl. It's not even close.

UFC does just fine developing talent. They have managed to build cards that actually builds names unlike boxing with its shameful missmatches outside of the maincard.
Many of the most popular UFC-fighters are still under 30, and they have quite a few in their early twenties that is already close to a title.


I agree that the olympics is great for boxing.

It's sad that the professional circuit is so ****ed up with all It's greedy promoters, competing networks and lack of interest for the future.

UFC is bigger than Boxing now because they have 1 or 2 monthly events that sells PPV againts Boxing "Top Seller" like Pacquiao and the Sabbatical Mayweather which fought once or twice a year?! Other boxer's now don't sell **** and can't even have 1000 paying fans to watch them fight and the UFC most of the time has a "Full House."

really got into ufc during the royce gracie-dan severn era, but for some reason i don't find it as interesting anymore.

anyways, ufc is not a sport. its an organization so dana white can make the fights happen.
