Equals millions. Not Pacquiao money, but 1million+, and potentially more if the ppv is a big seller.

Him and Brock makes about 1-3 million per fight excluding sponsors.
400k included the bonus, and I highly doubt they are getting jack **** from the PPV revenue. Maybe a small amount but no where near millions.

LMFAO so the top stars of UFC make less than journeyman in boxing?

Call me when a UFC star makes 50 million per fight like a boxing superstar does

I don't get that either. Nothing like a back and forth war in the 4th round you know is gonna go 12, and knowing you got 8 more full rounds of an absolute battle left. Why do people like fights that are over in 10 minutes?

I like brutal KO's, but choking a guy out or just holding him down and stopping it does nothing for me either.

I think this is a biased opinion. You just don't follow the sport enough to make that call.

I've watched since early 2000s and i can tell you mma is progressing very nicely, and has not reached even close to a plateu.
This is basically the "leather helmet" stage of mma. It will only get better.

MMA would need to focus on developing a solid amateur program. It's hard to compete athletic wise against a sport like boxing which is an olympic sport.

Now you mostly get people who practiced one single area of the sport and then branch out into putting it all together as adults.

The Amateur system needs to improve but its ok for now.......

Most of the disciplines that make up Mixed Martial Arts are competed at either the olympics or a world wide level.....Which include Boxing

So theres no point of having MMA as olympic sport given those facts

            PPV-REVENUE. Google it.

This is what Randy Couture made from ppv 4 years ago, and GSP is a much bigger star.

Less than 100,000 buys: No money
            100,000-175,000 buys: $1.00/buy
            175,000-300,000 buys: $1.50/buy
            300,000-330,000 buys: $2.00/buy
            Over 330,000 buys: $3.00/buy

Wrestling being an olympic sport is actually kind of bad for mma. That would take the toptier wrestlers away from mma.

Virtually all of their top fighters, which come from a very small talent pool, are forced to relocate overseas.

Football is the only sport that matters in Brazil. BJJ and MMA don't come close.

why would i/we care about one person banking 50 mill (who makes 50 mill per fight anyway...)?

Excluding manny and floyd, UFC stars make equally or more than their boxing counterparts.

their leather helmet stage were during their black box everybody fights in one night no weight classes days. & brock lesner had high test scores for making the vikings?

                    wtf?

As for its sport & its potential upside, well you had cotoure vs james toney, then you had gina carrano losing, the kimbo slice fiasco, & your one star that was closest to mainstream recognition, chuck liddel is done. GSP & Spider Silva are NON EN****** in terms of mainstream recognition in the U.S.

Again, sports is a star driven league. UFC/MMA does not have a proper model unlike boxing in producing talent.
