Louis would of knocked out Ali in my opinion, he would of either caught up with him eventually and landed the right cross in one of the last few rounds or used the right tactics to get him with the left hook in any round. You can run but you can't hide, start from the centre of the ring and it takes three steps to get Ali to the ropes, jab with Ali while holding your right glove high and chin tucked under your shoulder and you kill his rythm. You kill his rythm if you jab as he jabs. Ali didn't know how to block or parry whereas Louis did, Ali was a sucker for a good left jab. Louis would cut the ring off and get him on the ropes, he cuts the ring off better than anybody Ali has seen, when Ali is on the ropes against a six-inch hitter in very close to him he has nowhere to go because he is so tall and rangy, so as Ali drops his right hand to deliver the uppercut Louis would deliver the knockout drops with the left hook.
I would say that the only fighter a Catskills Tyson would lose to is the Ali that fought Liston, THAT Ali is the one fighter that Tyson may of had a problem with. I can see Tyson bobbing and weaving to get inside while Ali is sharper than sharp by backing off or side-stepping while peppering him with quick counters. It is the punches that you don't see coming that hurt you or stun you most, and with Tyson being peek-a-boo he isn't stationary enough to vision when Ali's punches will come. It might not even last very long at all.
Louis is over Tyson in my list on longevity.
Larry Holmes was more complete than Ali in my opinion, he jabbed better than Ali, he punched to both body and head, he had a better defence and much better fundamentals. He could dance and move like Ali, but with a more powerful right hand that came over without any warning. He also had more longevity than Ali.
I think because Holmes beat Ali when Ali was totally shot and Tyson beat Holmes when Holmes was slightly past his very best, people kind of are biased towards the losers if you know what I mean. But when you view it with an open-mind, I honestly see Holmes beating any version of Ali and Castkills Tyson beating any version of Holmes.

If they were both in there primes the fight would not even be a match. Ali would absolutely destroy Louis. First of all Ali was a bigger guy than Louis. Second of all Ali's feet were much too fast for Louis not to mention his lightning fast hands. How would Louis even touch Ali with that mother****ing slow ass left jab setup? Man ****** people make me mad!!!
Joe Louis would beat Ali and LOTS of peopple agree..

Well, actually it's true that there are a bunch of punks who litter up these boards with their junk. However, Joe thought he could beat Ali and he layed out the plan for us. Anybody who knows boxing would never discount Joe Louis who was recently selected by IBRO historians as the greatest heavy in history.
Personally, I would favor Ali, but Joe had some things that Ali was a sucker for, like a great left hook and subtle footwork and had killer combos to finish off any fighter in trouble. Dundee might need a case of torn gloves for this fight!

How do you rate Jack Johnson? Talented, great record (discounting thrown fights). Also I love Dempsey. His story is phenominal and he was a class act from cradle to grave but not a legend due to skills so much as reputation and love that he earned.

Lennox wasnt the GOAT fair enough BUT he beat everone he ever fought, surely that counts for something.

You are entitled to hate - but your lack of knowledge is embarrassing.
