Sure Lennox Lewis got knocked out by the limited McCall and Rahman... But he made it his mission to get those guys back in the ring to reverse it, and if that shows anything it shows that Lewis had great courage.

There are a lot of fighters that avoid facing guys again in that position.

So by doing this... Lennox Lewis beat every man he ever faced in the professional ring. Couple that with him winning the Olympic gold and dominating the heavyweight division for nearly a decade.

Lennox Lewis was one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, and I feel lucky to have been around to watch him live.
Based on ability, Pinklon Thomas is much better than Lewis. You'd have to rate Tubbs and an undefeated Tucker over Lewis too.

      No I wouldn't actually.

To me, Lennox Lewis is one of the greatest heavyweights to ever grace the ring. He had devistating power, he was the master tactition and controlled his fights like a chess match, and he was extremely strong.

... And that jab?... Well, it was perfect.

Lennox Lewis would be my defination of the sweet science.

I'm surprised Eubank isn't on that list.
Holmes beats Ali every time I think. He could do alot of things Ali could and then some more. Which is why I rate him higher.

Martin, I know your a Lewis nuthugger. But come on, you've never even seen Thomas, Tubbs or an undefeated Tucker have you? They were more skilled than Lewis, all of them.

Lewis couldn't carry Holmes' jockstrap as far as jabs are concerned.

McCall and Rahman are very ordinary fighters who knocked out Lewis, and Tyson was in better shape against Williams and McBride than he was against Lewis.

In terms of talent and cutting edge, Lewis was just not in the same class as the guys on my list. Patterson's speed and skills make Lewis look like a sack of ****.
well those ordinary fighters who knocked out lewis were also losing every round to him and got him with a lucky punch.....just like, in your words, lewis did to bruno......

and as for tyson........well look he he lost to!!!

            so eat your words now!!

                  I have seen them...

By the way, I'm not a "Lennox Lewis nuthugger" I'm a Lennox Lewis fan. I have 36 Lennox Lewis fights on DVD and I've always enjoyed watching him fight.

Saying that Thomas, Tubbs, or Tucker were more skilled than Lennox Lewis is just - !!!!

I know you don't like Lennox Lewis, but don't let that get in the way of the truth... Lennox dominated the heavyweight division for near a decade, he beat every man that ever faced him, and he unified the heavyweight division.

Did Thomas, Tubbs, or Tucker unify the heavyweight division???

You have to admit that Lennox Lewis's accomplishments are pretty ****ing impressive right?

Tyson, along with Fenech, is the reason I watch boxing.

But... just WHO exactly did 'Catskills Tyson' fight, anyway? And where is their place in history? Apart from a washed up Holmes and a scared, overblown Spinks, none were even approaching great.

Tyson fought some solid opposition when he was with Kevin Rooney. Michael Spinks, Past it Larry Holmes (my opinoin definitely most impressive performance even though Holmes was 38) Tony Tucker (Very game opponent) Trevor Berbick (game opponent beat Ali, though Ali was passed it, Tony Tubbs solid fighter, Michael Spinks very good fighter, Marvis Frazier decent fighter (beat Bonecrusher Smith) Bonecrusher Smith (pretty good fighter trained by Angelo Dundee. Pretty solid resume. And he has the one legend on there in Holmes though he was past it at 38.
