somwhat right, except pacquiao is shorter than marquez, will be the same weight he has always been against marquez on fight night, unlike floyd, being 5'8, coming over the limit and being probabley as heaviest he's been in his career(heard that somewhere) besides his fight with oscar

The same people say Floyd was 160 on fight night because "He looked like it"

Tim Bradley isn't 140Lb's either because my eyes say there is no way he weights that less with that muscle mass.

      Eye test >>>
      Absolutely.

SSM performed horribly against Mayorga and admirably against Margarito. He then went cold after Berto fell through and came into the fight against FMJ going through two training camps. He had no chance to win

Against Pac...he was still horrible, but at least active. They shouldn't have happened and the credit is void for both of them for beating SSM at this point
Floyd vs. Mosley was a horrible fight? Based on what? He was P4P Number 3 and the Number 1 WW.

Cmon bro thats one win you cant hate on. We gon knock Floyd for beating the p4p 3 and Number 1 fighter is his OWN weight class? You have to be kidding me.

"The fight shouldnt have happened"? So what fight outside of Pac did you prefer at WW. What fight would have been better at WW for Floyd other than fighting Shane.

I agree either both fighters deserve credit or both fighters should get ****ted on. I chose to **** on both fighters for fighting JMM at WW.

Yes one side can say crap like Floyd failed to make weight(Lets be clear Floyd was wrong here) or they can make up how much he actually weighed on fight night(kind of ******ed argument but whatever). But, then the other side can come out and say that it was a tune up for Floyd after coming off a 16 month layoff. While this tune up for Pac is coming off a 3 straight tune up. Pathetic, all the excuses cancel each other.

          It's just crap.

Yet, almost everyone was telling Floyd to "man up" and take the fight?

It could have something to do with him being the Champion at the weight?

Shane Mosley was the logical option for Mayweather to take at that point since the Pac fight fell through.

For Pac a year later? Nottt so much.

Another difference is pac will rehydrate a couple pounds where I'm sure floyd was 155 or so.

But the main difference here is styles. JMM is a good matchup for Pac, a terrible match up against Floyd. JMM had to follow floyd around and be aggressive, that's not his best game. He's better suited when he plays the role of the counter puncher and that's exactly what he's going to get against Pac.

I never ****ted on floyd for fighting Marquez, after all he said it was a tune up fight. I was however critical of not making weight and never intending to do so, I thought that was foul (although it wouldn't have mattered).
If it's a tuneup fight for Floyd then it's something even worse for the reigning pound for pound king. How many ****ty fights in a row can a top fighter make?

Right. Maybe he shouldve fought Nate Campbell, Matt Hatton or Paulie like all of NSB was talking about. Then he fights Shane and now the fight shouldnt have happebned. Gotta love this site.

Floyd won't get credit for the Marquez fight even if the weight issue is dismissed. That's because other main criticism that Mayweather received for fighting Marquez, is that Marquez is a "counter-puncher" who had to take the role of aggressor in the fight. It would have been an extremely boring fight if Marquez did not press the action because style makes fights. With Pacquiao, Marquez can fight his usual style.
