I never said Cotto was (or would be) any of those fighter. I simply pointed out that they are all a little 'babied' early in their careers. It's common practice to let your guy grow and learn, on the job..and all the other guys did it too.

So Floyd beat a bum (at that time) big deal, right?

      hahah BACK THEN!?!?
the fight was in 2001, corrales was 33-0 and he had won 6 championship fights!

yes, back then...when Diego had no clue how to box and won all the time by ko.
what about the rest of them..the older ones? Nard and Jones both are much older than floyd.

haha youve got to be kidding me. deigo is a boxer puncher, he wins almost all his fights by ko, always has, always will.
when he faced floyd, the pure boxer dominated the boxer puncher

lol, 4 yr's ago diego couldnt box for **** and alot of his fans will acknowledge this! He has amazing power and has only recently learned to use skill with it.
you didnt mention the others that, accordign to you, started out with elite fighters and only went up from there.
I think youre missing my point entirely, and that is a young fighter will be protected early in his career, which makes Cotto no different from the rest.

Tszyu couldn't even beat Hatton. He's washed up & very slow. I see Cotto beating Tszyu, the way he beat Abduliev. Cotto doesn't mix it up in every fight. Anyone that has seen Cotto before, he can box pretty good. I don't see Tszyu or Hatton beating Cotto.

my point is that floyd, bhop, rjj, tarver, lacy and a string of others were exposed far before the protected and babied cotto. also, while they were fighting less talented fighters, they dominated, unlike cotto, who seems to have trouble with every c/b fighter

deigo still insnt a great "boxer"(in terms of pure boxing skill, not his overall talents as a fighter), like i said before, he is a boxer puncher. after recently watching the freitas fight, i conceded that he was being outboxed by freitas until he knocked him out.
since 2000, diego has won ONE fight by decision, just face it, hes not a great "boxer" and never has been.
