hahahahaha, splitting hairs now are we? Gee, I dont recall that being the issue or the point. Your complaint was the level of opposition, remember? Like I said, he wasnt even supposed to be fighting Torres, but took the risk and fought a hard puncher he had NOT trained for.Originally posted by PBF34niether rjj, hopkins, of mayweather got the kind of beating cotto did against torres in their early careers
Geez, cant believe that comeback was the best you could do.Comment

the bottom line here is that cotto got beat up badly by a nobody.
oh and by the way... floyds 25th fight??
against deigo corrales
hopkins 24th fight??
roy jones junior's 23rd fight?
bernard hopkins
his 27th?
james toney
so yeah, all three of these guys were fighting better opposition earlier in their careers, AND were preforming better.Comment

You post that like they were all as good and experienced back then as they are now when they fought each other yr's ago. Big difference between them back then and today.Originally posted by PBF34what the hell are you talking about??

You can't call Torres a bum. He was undefeated & unknown. Many people will be ducking Torres now. I don't know why so many people are bashing Cotto after a great fight. Any fan should've appreciated what Cotto did. He proved he has a heart of a champion. Cotto has fought many good fighters for a young boxer. The only person I see beating Cotto is Mayweather. I don't see Hatton or anyone else beating him at 140.Originally posted by PBF34what the hell are you talking about??

oH, so youre saying that jones, floyd and bernard not only were kings of the division for yr's, but started out that way?? Like they were perfect and had nothing to learn, no improvements to make?? Come on...back then, Diego didnt even know how to box..like Torres, he was a power puncher and that was all. So Floyd beat a bum (at that time) big deal, right?Originally posted by PBF34so were splitting hares now, are we???

cottos a bum the guy had 2 weeks notice to get in shape and he almost knocked cotto out id like to see a rematch with torres in shapeComment

Cotto is the most exciting fighter in boxing right now
I don't think anyone at 140 can beat him except maybe Mayweather. Who cares if his chin is a little shaky; he came back to dominate just like in the Corley fightComment
