  • I been said this fight should happen,I mean if Manny loses there is no shame in it,if he wins omg he will be top 10 or 5 ATG status..I don't see anything wrong with this fight imo..

They've stated that they won't fight Martinez above 147.

Bull****. Pac stans know whats up with catchweights, right? You don't have to weigh the limit, right? You can CW @ 155 for the MW title, right? If he fought @ 150 for a light MW title he can do 155 for the MW title. It's sacrifice for both. The reason a Stan wont like that is because the CW wont work in Manny's favor as Sergio is at his peak and was also the man @ 154.

I agree. Its a pity though that Pac's team has already mentioned that they'd no longer go above 147.

Nonetheless, i'm hoping that Pac would change his mind and eventually challenge martinez.

              • he has already climbed enough weight classes, he at the moment is a small welterweight, in fact a very small welterweight, he can't fight a middleweight, if he was a natural welter who weighed around 155-160 on fight night like floyd then my answer would be yes

                • Pac won the junior middleweight title against a fighter 5 feet 11 who weighed around 164-165 on fight night. The last 4 opponents Tomasz Adamek beat averaged 40 pounds more than him and were as much 5-7 inches taller than him.

Sam Lanford was 5 feet 7 and knocked out heavyweights, even heavyweight Jack Dempsey wanted no part of Langford, he said "he would flatten me." Harry Greb blind in one eye still as a middleweight took Dempsey to school sparring, and Dempey never tookd sparring off.

If arum don't want to fight martinez fine, but he can fight guys like WBO#1 contender Kell Brook, Bradley, or even rising star Mike Jones. He probably would beat them all, but nobody can't complain as he beat legit rising contenders and in Bradley one of the top 10 P4P.

My best guess is that it will be Pac vs Marquez at 144 catchweight, and than Bradley, because Bradley contract with Gary Shaw expires at the end of June, and he go to Top Rank so he can get a fight with Pac early next year.

                  • Whether you like it or not, Pacman has already accomplished world record that is very difficult to achieve, that of winning 8 world titles in diff weigh divisions.

Why ask Pacman to bloat himself and fight Martinez?

If you want them to fight each other, then it should be at 147lbs.

Who is going to be followed in determining the Catchweight? Pacman or Martinez?

Pacman is the current P4P and PPV Star, so he deserve to dictate what Catchweight should be agreed upon.

                    • Teddy Atlas is a real fool when it comes to Pacquiao.

I'm still waiting on that mysterious email there Teddy...you know, the one in which Pacquiao's camp asked that a negative drug test be kept quiet...where's the email Teddy?

Oh, I forgot, it was created by Al Haymon and given to Tim Smith who mentioned something to Atlas. What a joke!

As far as fighting the middleweight champ goes....Pacquiao is still a junior welterweight who needs to eat to make the welterweight limit. All other fighters cut weight. One could respond that if Martinez is so great, why doesn't he move up a mere eight pounds and take on Froch or Ward?
