Pathetic reply. Trinidad a beast at middleweight! HaHaHa. I guess thats why he stayed at middleweight and was an active dominant middleweight fighter for years, right. He was such a beast he fought a small Joppy and a former welterweight Mayorga and 1 former jr middle Winky Wright. He lost to Benard because Bernard used his strength and size to bully Trinidad around the ring for the entire fight. Trinidad's explosive power he had at ww did not even dent Bernard's chin.

Oh, Martinez is allowed to have an excuse as to why he can't fight Bute, but Manny is not allowed any valid excuses as to why he should not fight Martinez as long as he is a welterweight. So how do you decide which fighters are allowed excuses and which ones are not? How do you decide which are valid excuses and which ones are not? But when it comes to Martinez , oh he can use an excuse ( a lousy excuse) that Bute is busy right now. Well Bute is not really busy right now, he is so busy he is fighting nobody's with no credibility. I am sure he would change his busy schedule for a big money fight with Martinez. And for you to say his next 3 fights are matched out is just a ridiculous made up falsehood. Bute's next 3 fights are matched out-translation he has no signed contract to fight Kessler or the winner of the super six because we do not even know when the super 6 will end. So this is the flimsiest excuse I have ever Heard. Oh yeah Bute can't fight Martinez, because someday in the far future, nobody knows what month or even what year the Super 6 will end, he will fight the potential winner.

I totally agree but everyone will look past the fact that Manny really wants every advantage in all of his fights. Cotto has to defend his title below the welterweight limit, Margarito gets a title shot for the 154 pound title but they fought at a catch weight of 150 ponds. How long will this go on 147 Oscar, Cotto 145, Marquez 144 when is Manny going to cut the nonsense out. He wants to call all the shot but when floyd asked for drug testing he didnt want any part of it. F()K MANNY AND ALL OF HIS GAMES. ONLY FIGHTS mOSLEY WHEN HE WASHED UP, TWO YEARS BEFORE HE SAID MOSLEY WAS TOO GOOD AND BETTER THAN OSCAR. Is Manny was fighting at welter weight why wouldnt he fight Mosley then. Mayweather would be crucified if he said that.

Cotto your too big you must be 145 , JMM your to small you must be 144 . Shane your too good we will wait till you look like crap , nothing but BS surrounding Pacs fights .

Ah! WTF. i did not even talk about this. But since you waded into it I will respond. If you think the fight begins at the sound of the bell you are mistaken. The fight starts at the negotiating table and at that table its each fighters job to get every advantage over the other fighter. This includes fight location, size of gloves, size of ring, judges, refs, and yes weight. Cotto agreed to it, JMM is agreeing to it so if the actual fighters agree to it who the hell are you to say otherwise. This bull**** I call the Kevin Bacon game approach to boxing excuses. The game tries to connect Kevin Bacon to everyone. That's how some boxing fans twisted logic works. Paqmans opponents lost to previous opponents so his victory is meaningless, Shane is too old, because he lost to Mayweather first and Paq beat DLH because he already lost to PBF, Paqman beat Hatton because he lost to PBF and Floyd softened him up etc, etc, etc. With your logic you could do this with every fighter who ever lived and call into question all of their wins.

To prove Manny's greatness all I have to do is mention 3 names. Barerra, Morales, Marquez. 3 of the greatest featherweights in the past quarter century and top 10 fw of all time. 3 of the best p4p fighters of the past 20 yrs. Paqman beat all three of them. Name another fighter who has accomplished such a feat in the amount of time Manny accomplished his wins over the great FWs. You would have to go back to Sal Sanchez to get anywhere close to such an accomplishment.

I have to agree with this statement.

If Manny is really the greatest of all time, he should fight Sergio?? You know why? Because all the other ATGs moved up in weight, Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler.

              Why not Pacquiao?

From my observation, the only way I see Manny legitimately going to junior middleweight or above is if he goes on vacation for at least a year and gains a ton of weight (like what most older boxers do). Unfortunately, that won't help his fighting style at all. The guy is just to heavy and slow at 150+

Martinez and Pacquiao would be fair and on a level playing field.. but Marquez and Pacquiao would be unfair because Pacquiao is too big?
