The only thing lame about this fight was Shanes performance. Shane talk the talk but never walked the walk.. Pac brought it to Shane and put him on his arse.. Shane made the fight borring...

bull****. shane fought like a coward but Manny NEVER pressed the issue and blamed a leg cramp after he put on a sub-par performance.

            Why,why,why?..that's easy...

....boxers like Manny, who had nothing and worked hard to make it to the big dance, guys like Mayweather. Ever heard of "The Poor Man's Sports" It is the way it is and will always be. A lot of kids with nothing will go to the boxing gym and try it out until they discover if they are gifted and will HOPE they make it, just like Manny did. And the promoters, it is their job to find that talent and make the impossible, possible. Unfortunately. majority of the fans love to watch exciting fighters. So, stop hating.

Sure it's good for the individuals getting paid.

It's not good for the health of the sport at all. How did all the fans who paid a bunch of money benefit? How did the millions of kids in the US and Canada who did not watch any of this card and the other PPVs benefit the sport? How do all the casual fans who buy 1 PPV a year who watched that garbage and now hate the entire sport benefit boxing?

We will see, either way it's far from being mainstream enough to make a dent for major Boxing/MMA/Wraslin PPVs. There is a small minority of people that pirate stuff. Most people don't want to be bothered to look for it. FTA just died so who knows what can happen.

Ali and co weren't live on TV either, you had to go to the theaters and PPV has been around since very early 80's. Boxing can do fine with the top mega stars on PPV. The rest is the big problem, fighters who can't even sell off PPV.

I think in the past 4-5 years that boxing has done a much better job of getting off PPV. They went crazy there for like a decade where everything was on the pay model and they destroyed the base. However, Pac and Mayweather fights being on PPV does not hurt the sport. People pay for a reason. It's the promoters fault that they can't do a better job with the rest of the boxing world.

That's pretty good for a joke of a fight, but the question is how many of those will never buy another fight?

I hate on no one for making money. Just don't pretend it's good for the health of the sport. It was better when it was on free tv and the best fighters needed to fight more than once a year.

Marquez vs. Pacquiao needs to happen on HBO. 24/7 ****s on that lame ass fight camp 360. Also, I can't stand to listen to Gus Johnson's annoying voice.
