I'll also say this. I don't mind this fight at all, I've been wanting to see it since Marquez beat Katsidis because he deserved it after that great win. I'm not a fan of the catchweight for this fight, but what can I do about it?

Either way I don't think this fight will be too competitive. At this point, Marquez gets his ass kicked by Manny at any weight class, but it'll be more entertaining than the **** we saw last week.

Nobody is forcing JMM to come in over 140lb. Come on son...
Then JMM would obviously be at a disadvantage, wouldn't he?

Could Victor Ortiz be competitive with Martinez next because he comes to the ring at 160? Obviously not, he would be at an obvious disadvantage.

Tried telling him that. He still doesnt understand. He considers it being a blown up LW fighting a full fledged WW which Pac is not. Pac is actually fighting at a weight class where he doesnt have to cut weight and dehydrate himself to make weight. He doesnt baloon up after the weigh in. He's one of only maybe 2 or 3 fighters in the entire sport who are fighting at thier correct weight class. By today's standards, full fledged WW's are actually middle weights who starve and dehydrate themselves to compete at WW.

Different scenario. Martinez puts on 10lbs after the weigh in unlike Pac. If Martinez weighed in at 160 and packed on maybe a pound or 2 after the weight in like Pac does, then sure.

Do you know what the disadvantage is?

Manny Pacquiao doesn't rehydrate 10-20lbs, that's the difference. Use that brain of yours...

                  Yet, neither does Floyd Mayweather.

So naturally, Mayweather's win over JMM is legit also, No?

                  By this logic, of course.

JMM is a blown up lightweight fighting at WW. This is a fact, man. Regardless to his fight night weight. He has literally shown this.

Is that a fact? How exactly do you know this?

Once again.....Floyd didnt even make the contracted weight, payed a fine for it, and refused to be weighed on fight night. One thing that was clear though, was Floyd's size advantage that night in the ring.
