I dont think it was the weight for the simple fact that JMM weighed even more against Katsidis and looked great. The problem he had with Floyd was his 142lbs vs Floyd's 150'ish lbs.

There was no unofficial fight night weight that night, so how do you know what each fighter weighed?

Floyd fought him at 147, people forget that. He broke contract. That and Marquez style isn't that of an aggressive fighter, he's a counter puncher. Moving up in weight looking fat and heavy trying to counter punch a quicker bigger counter puncher? = loss.

That said, Marquez is a few lbs lighter than Manny but Manny is all muscle at 148. Marquez, if he was lean, would probably be about 140-141 lbs. (going by the 2nd pac fight, when he was cut at 130).

Realistically, Pacquiao has only about 7 lbs on Marquez, but he's a lot more solid than Marquez genetically. Marquez has smaller hands, wrists and head. And skinnier legs. All Marquez weight right now is in his mid section pretty much.

also, I doubt Floyd weighed that much more than Marquez on fight night, I think he did it to scare Marquez and even Pacquiaos camp.

Floyd was very slim that night, and Marquez was fatter. Floyd was probably 148 lbs.

you can put two & two together & come up with a reasonable & very modest conclusion that with age & his reluctance to show his fight night weight in his last couple of fights that floyd doesnt come in as a welter on fight night anymore.

He first started not showing his fight night weight as early as 2007 for the DLH fight. In his last fight where he had an unofficial weigh in, he added a wopping 2lbs against Baldomir's 162lbs.

DLH, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, were the fights Mayweather had no fight night weight for[and neither his opponents], not his last "couple" of fights.

Floyd is not bigger than Pacquiao. He's taller. Thats about it. Pacquiao is a tank. 148-149 is the usual weigh he comes into the ring at and he's cut to shreds. Pacquiao was bullying Mosley around all night.

Mayweather weighs no more. Against Oscar he looked the biggest and said he weighed 147. Mayweather has a slim build, Pacquiao has a stocky build. Look how small Mayweathers hands are in comparison.
